Please a little question. On the average, how long does it take for a protected person to bring his wife to Canada after applying for PR. Also is there any fast way of bringing his wife?. Some if us have stayed too long without our loved ones and would really appreciate suggestion of a part way here. Thanks

Unfortunately, family sponsorship is not for this category of applicants. Let me explain: if you were already married at the time of filing your claim, you MUST include your spouse in the application unless you don’t intend for him/her to join you EVER. You can only resort to family sponsorship if you were unmarried at the time of your application.
So does it mean that those of us that just started are basically screwed till 3 to 4 years time?
If they are in Canada and you included them in the application you will get it at the same time.
Alright thank you so much the IRCC phone guy really stressed me out it didn’t make sense that we pass everything together and when it comes to final decision one gets it and one does many months later ( even though the dependents aren’t accepted as protected persons )
I have my spouse with me. Not convention refugee/protected person. He has his work permit (because spouse of convention refugee). And we’ve applied pr together and he done medical and biometric already.
You’re left with no choice. Maybe some will get it in less than the normal processing time of 48 months. It has even increased to 50 months as we speak.
