please explain what is portal 1 and portal 2? links please
If you're already in Canada, you get an eCOPR document. The portal has two stages. Portal 1 is when they email you asking for information to create the account. Portal 2 is when you get your eCOPR doc from submitting information on the portal. Both these processes are annoyingly slow with Montreal office.

Wow! They are being extra thorough! Next step has to be PAL and a decision very soon I think! I hope you hear something within the next few weeks!

UPDATE: We finally got another ADR (IMM 5406, 2023 tax info, and canadian bank account info) on May 29, 30, and June 7. As we still want to know how long it will actually take them to give us an answer, we sent them in!

Were any of you asked for these specific documents in ADR?

Wonder what's next......

(Applied 12/24/2020)

Just waiting on the PR card now but have a trip planned back to the US so hoping I can still do that now my status has changed. Processing time for the card is another 77 days apparently.

Good Luck to everyone who’s still waiting!! :)

Hello everyone,

I have received the PAL and completed the medical exam as requested. I'm currently waiting for the results of my medical exam. My question is: does reaching this step guarantee a successful outcome? Has my process been approved?

Thank you for the clarifications!

Congrats on the progress!

PAL means you passed eligibility, and there are medical and background to pass for the final decision. if you passed your medical and you and your families' background are not complicated, you should expect ppr pretty soon. (only less than 2% of all applicants were refused on medical or security grounds each year)

Would you mind sharing your timeline? and your processing office please/?

Pls I need to ask this question: After biometrics is done, what do one expect? The will send the results directly to IRCC or foward to the applicant to send to IRCC by himself?
Or do the two? Need to know pls..

You don’t need to do anything, your biometrics will be sent electronically to IRCC and should soon be visible when you log in to your account.

Hello, @Taylah.

I noticed that, based on your timeline, you took the medical exam before submitting the additional documents. I thought that once you received the request for the medical examination, it should be considered that your eligibility has been approved.

In my case, I sent my additional documents and a week later I received the medical request and the PAL. Now I'm waiting for the results of my medical examination.

Considering I'll pass the medical exam and my background is fine, can I consider my eligibility approved after receiving the PAL and the medical examination or can I still not rest assured?

Thank you =)
