Our application withdrawal has officially been confirmed by Canada, as of October 7. We also got reimbursed for our Right of Permanent Residence Fee last week. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

If you haven't been following our path.....it was taking SO long, we applied to go to the UK early this year, got the visa quickly, and moved. That's why :) Otherwise...yes, we would have gone to Canada....though you have to admit, 3 3/4 years is an outrageous amount of time to have to wait for...

I just sent in a formal withdrawal of application request today.....it's been almost 4 years since we applied. Crazy. Hopefully we'll get our RPRF refunded.

UPDATE: Got an email notification of message sent in portal a week ago. The message said to send photos and copies of 1st pages of passports within 30 days. I'm not sure what this means....does it mean we were approved? Will I get any other notifications before that is done? Letter was not...

We are!! But we want to know how long this is actually going to take....will make a good story. We want to get an answer either way :)

UPDATE: We finally got another ADR (IMM 5406, 2023 tax info, and canadian bank account info) on May 29, 30, and June 7. As we still want to know how long it will actually take them to give us an answer, we sent them in! Were any of you asked for these specific documents in ADR? Wonder what's...

Ours was very thorough as well. But because the info was old (from when we applied in 2020), they asked for updated info, like new FBI check and a few other forms.

A month away? Where did you see that? We did our Medicals in December 2023 and haven’t heard a peep since. No PAL either. But it’s great news that things are moving along for you!

Yes, upload via webform asap. Sometimes they don't read those for quite a while but they'll see when it was added. I had the same thing with ours. They wanted an updated photo of the passport as the one they had was expired. But there was nowhere to 'upload' on the portal so we sent it via webform.

Indeed. Still waiting after 3+ years. Got a visa for UK in 3 months....can't wait any longer.

Not sure. I only had to update one form and I’m not sure that one had a signature. I just opened the old one on my computer, edited it, and re-saved it as a new file.

Can you find the form here?: Forms Glad you got it sorted out. Definitely send a webform that you applied for the police certificate (and possibly attach screenshots as proof).
