Thanks again for sharing all these points. Will take a screenshot of this for future reference.. luckily I do have a few friends who have moved to Canada in the last two years so I have been in touch with them on getting information on relevant jobs and housing.. Really happy and excited for the new opportunities and challenges but nervous at the same time especially on the job front.. do you think I can start looking for a job while I am outside Canada or its recommended to start looking for one once I have landed there (some employers may not be interested if you aren't there)
That's great that you've friends in Canada. Will make the transition easier if they are helpful.

About searching for jobs outside of Canada. It is doable. I got a exec-level job in Canada years before landing here. All comes to down to skill levels and your percentile placements.

My general breakdown of response rates for jobs based on a candidate's percentile, using data from my own F500 org is:
1. 95th percentile and above: 30-50% response rates on job applications. 1-2 weeks of shelf-life.
2. 75th percentile and above: 10% or higher response rates on job applications. Shelf-life of a candidate is ~2-4 weeks
3. 50th-75th percentile candidates: 0.5-1% response rates on job applications. Shelf-life of a candidate is ~2-4 months
4. <50th percentile: less than 0.1% response rates on job applications. Shelf-life is 3-12 months

Test where you fall earlier by talking to individuals who are in your line of work and then prepare accordingly.

Eligibility completed on tracker sometime back however BG check is in progress as per tracker and also in GC Key it says we are processing your BG check.. had submitted the ADR request on Tuesday after which review of additional documents turned to not applicable .. nothing after that

None at the moment. 94 days past AOR (Apr 01). Bio and meds passed May 20 and June 01 respectively. Eligibility and background still in progress. Feeling like the antithesis of great to say the least.

If your security is completed then FD should be imminent. The health stream has been progressing fast. Probably just a week or two for you.
I'm having the same issue but for september 2024 college diploma

I have applied through normal study permit
File submitted: 24th april 2024
Biometric: 30th April 2024
Medical updated: 25th May 2024
Eligibility; completed
Background check; in progress
Biometrics validation letter(correspondence letter); june 13th 2024
final decision; started since june 13th 2024 but still under review and in progress
Study Permit and visa number and details shown on tracker; 14th june 2024

no PPR yet either..portal shows final decision started June 13th 2024 but application is still in progress..apllication status tracker shows study permit number and visa number in document status.

what is the real issue here and what do i do?

@jayden08 There is a section in this forum called “International Students”. I think you’ll be able to get an answer there. This thread is for express entry.

Edit: Looks like you already posted there.
