Did anyone submit Upfront medicals in 2024? Can you please update? It will be of great help.
To be honest, need to save any processing time possible due to expiring work permit while PR will be in process.

i know that. You asked a question, I gave you my answer from the IRCC helpline worker. Whether you want to do it upfront or not is your call. Not mine.
Those telephone helpline folks are not thorough or well-versed, their work procedure doesn't allow them to to think or act proactively. See if they have good brains to think, won't they work elsewhere, than being on a minimum wage answering phone calls? My gut feeling is they often read from an instruction manual and may mislead us some lazy ones just lie to avoid more work and rude ones are nasty etc..

Hello,

I was deported from the US in 2017 at the Chicago POE after the immigration officer discovered I had obtained a B1/B2 VISA to come work in the US for a short time. I wasn't banned but my VISA was revoked.

I have since travelled to several European countries and returned home without any issues. My economic status has changed for the better too.

Right now, my wife and I are thinking of applying to move to Canada using the Skilled Worker/Professional Immigration basis. We want to make her the reference point for the application because she is more skilled and qualified.

So my question is, if we get to the level where I have to appear to get our VISA/PR, would my travel history to the US affect our application and what can we do to prevent any negative outcome.

We intend to tell the truth because my US deportation issue was a big mistake on my part and an unfortunate incident that I have left behind.

Please your comments are welcome.

To present day...Thanks for reading this much!

We moved to the UK in 2021...my wife got a fully sponsored scholarship for her PhD and she's about to finish. We declared this deportation issue when we applied to come to the UK and we had no issues. We got the visas.

Now we want to take advantage of the EB2 NIW route and so my question or my concern is about my deportation history and what we can do to not make it affect us. My wife is going to be the petitioner but is there anything you can advice us to do?
Now where are you? ‍♀

Alberta To Launch Permanent Residency Pathway For Police Officers
Alberta’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) will launch a new permanent residency immigration program for foreign nationals hoping to work in Canada as police officers.

----------------------

Yup! Its happening.... Canada is directly recruting police officers from abroad. Using PNP no less. Anyone wanna apply?

Its ... weird to say the least....

This is so bad for Canada's integrity. They have a bad ideas jar, they pick one everytime we think they are out of it!

I mean ... whats next? Judges? I sure as hell wish they should skip all the trouble and straight away offer PNP for post of prime minister or ministers. Just save all the time.

Have all the 30,500 stayed in your account for more than 6 months?

@Lord_Tony no. Every 2 weeks salary comes in. There is no requirement to have all the required funds stay for at least 6 months i guess...but yes, if my situation was such, it would have been great.

So, to answer your question, NO...I have my balancing growing each 2nd week.

Yes, if you are only just now in the process of creating your EE profile fine it makes sense you don't need to maintain it for many months. However if you already have an ITA and are applying for your FSW PR without a Canadian Job offer then IRCC tends to look for look at the 6 months of statements, as long as you have the minimum it should be fine

This guy has been a very good and sane voice on Canadian state of affairs. I've met him late last year and was blown away by the clarity of his thoughts. A good example here:

Guys one question. I had a job for which I don't have reference letters and paystubs; however, I do have an experience letter and an offer letter. I didn’t add this job under my ee application and oinp as well, didn't claim any points for this as well. My question is, should I just mention this job under personal history and attach the same LOE that I used for oinp, will this be sufficient?
