Hi Guys,

received a call from a number (verified by carrier) . The agent said they are calling regarding my pgp application and they recognized me as the sponsor, asked me if my parents are inside canada. I told them they are inside and already updated the address. She checked back and said the address was updated and she missed seeing it. She said nothing was needed from me and i will receive emails. I am medicals passed earlier in the month and bg check is in progress. Is it normal for ircc to call sponsor and check these details.
There was no confidential details asked over the call.

I received an email invite for my father this week who is back in Pakistan and I'm based in Mississauga.

1, Do I use Permanent Residence portal (highlighted in blue) and submit representative form IMM5476?

As highlighted in red Portal only for paid representative.

For the 2024 intake, you and the parents and grandparents you want to sponsor must submit a complete application online through the Permanent Residence Portal (https://prsonsrpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login). The application must be submitted by the principal applicant (your parent or grandparent) or by a paid authorized representative on their behalf. Do you send photo with first email or after 2nd email you upload directly into portal. I sent the information that was asked to copy paste. is that all you send?

1st email you copy-paste and reply.

then they enable links on the portal for you for self-declaration and upload photos and send you the 2nd email. That's when you do step 2.

after that you get the final email saying eCOPR is available for download.

I got the same additional documents request. But I don't have my 5th to 9th class certificates. I do have 10 and 12th class certificate. Also my parents don't have their school or college certificates. any idea what should I do?

I dont think they ask for your parent's school documents, at least they didnt in my case.

Give them the school documents that you have and attach a letter of explanation for the missing documents.

You're welcome Samip29, I too was unsuccessful in linking my application initially. I phoned IRCC and their agent helped me out, you could try calling 1-888-242-2100

Hi I have received the AOR which says "This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga on behalf of the following family member"
only my father in law name is mentioned here and my mother in law name is not mentioned in this letter. My FIL is principle applicant.
Both names should be entered in AOR. What should I do. Is this happened on other people on this forum please advise

Dont worry that's normal, in most letters they mention only the primary applicant.

As for PCC and Medicals, My parents had medical exam done last Oct for their visa renewal, and I submitted their PCC in the original application.
I have the impression that pre-arrival letter is the final step, but I haven't got the AOR, sponsor approval yet. Is it normal that pre-arrival letter come this early?

Hi, is it better to attach PCC upfront while submitting the application? i am in the process of putting documents together for pgp2024 (just got invite last week). I read somewhere on the threads that PCC is valid only for 6 months and if application processing does not start within that time then need to request fresh PCC

Not sure about the timeline. Some people try to time the system. For spousal sponsorship in some countries, PCC was part of the required document to submit the application. We waited for the request back then. But it's a few years ago when I submitted PGP application.

Its possible that they can come simultaneously but not necessary on the exact same day. My parents received the 3 letters on March 13 (Biometrics), March 15 (PCC) and March 19 (Medical), and had 30 days to complete them. Which means if they had to do everything simultaneously they had until April 12 to complete all 3.

But on March 13 they did not know that the other two letters were going to be issued that same week. Besides every case is different depending on the visa office and how many files they're processing, in what order, etc.
