What happens next and what to expect next after all these stages are completed? Updated Biometrics, Sponsor and PA eligibility completed, PA received pre arrival letter, Medical passed, received 'Sponsor approval' letter and 'Approval in Principal' letter. Background check in progress.

I think after all of this, it may be portal invites? Portal 1 and 2. Or maybe they’ll make a final decision then do the portal invites …. Then COPR? I have a feeling there may be quite a bit of waiting, or maybe not! I’ll keep posting my updates.

Sponsor Eligibility Passed: January 23 2024
Biometrics Done: January 23rd 2024

Booked my appointment for tomorrow (25th) will update if I receive anything else.

Hey guys i was hoping if someone can shed some light on my current situation. I am a canadian citizen residing in canada i want to sponsor my wife,she is also currently in canada. We are currently waiting on our marriage certificate we were told it takes about 8 weeks to receive. But the issue is i have some family commitment’s in USA for which i have to stay in the states for 4-5 months. Is there a way we can start our spousal application while i am in USA and my wife in canada ?

I submitted OWP and Visitor Record application after I got my AOR and got BIL for my OWP.
I haven't received anything for PR after AOR, so wondering how do biometrics work if I submit it to OWP? Are they gonna see it in the system and I won't need the Biometrics done for PR anymore?

I haven't received anything for PR after AOR, so wondering how do biometrics work if I submit it to OWP? Are they gonna see it in the system and I won't need the Biometrics done for PR anymore?

For me, when I did biometrics for PR, it automatically updated the biometrics information for the OWP application as well.

So in your case, you most likely won't have to do biometrics again for PR. Only once for your OWP.
