Wow, given how much he's hated by Indian govt(and by Modi), I never thought they'd offer him that. Fun fact, when he last visited(iirc 2016), no one important showed up to meet him. JT visited a few places, signed a few treaties and left. I was expecting his this visit wouldn't be any good either, which is exactly what happened.

If he does that he will lose the backing of Canadian politicians, who either directly own or at least get lobbying funds from the diploma mills and student rentals

I think they are going to reduce immigration targets for real. Too much pressure on them at the moment. Better start learning French. The diploma crooks are getting fake LMIAs on top of their CEC boost since their scores are too low

JT has done a lot to reach this place. Dude brought a terrorist who was listed in in the most wanted list to India back in 2016 as a part of his caravan and then said "I didn't knew who he was". Irony is that he was here to sign a joint program to deal with the very same terrorist organization and share intelligence with India. It was very very stupid thing to do. Just one example of what he does.

His reputation is beyond repair at this point imo.

I've a few friends who are LMIAs, when they tell other immigrants that they are on LMIA supported WP - they usually get asked "where did you buy your LMIA from". It is amazing how everything is leveraged to a point of abuse in Canada for immigration.

Yep, keep in mind Ukrainian Refugees, and IEC visa holders (Basically free work permit for people with good passports) that can qualify for CEC points at low cost. The average professional from a developing country has little to no chance [unless they speak French, work in Tech, or Healthcare]

Canada is the last hope for India students. But given how sentiment is changing here sooner or later this door will be closed. Have to admire Aus and UK they moved quite fast.

UK is a shit show through and through.
Australia has no where near opportunities that Canada has. Just the fact that canada is in the same time zone as USA gives it a lot of opportunities. I had an Australian PR. All the work available there is in contract positions. Sydney is equally expansive to live if not worse. Violent Crime situation in Melbourne there makes toronto look really safe.

From my brief reading, apparently, the UK went through this phase (of fake diplomas) back in the 2000s and has cracked down since then for the most part. In the UK, they just don't like foreigners, it's as simple as that so even if you get a work permit, no-one will hire you. Eventually these chumps will have to go back home or stay back illegally.

Australia, had this phase in the early 2010s and are now cracking down on it. They still bring over international students but in a more controlled manner and the majority will never get PR.

Canada should have cracked down but have a spineless government but the increasing pressure will force them to. Canadians are getting pissed.
