Background checks don’t have a fixed processing time. Can be a few weeks to multiple months. Is there any one also in the same timeframe? Like passed eligibility, criminal, biometric, medical but waiting for background check?
I am complete opposite everything but eligibility…. And I heard eligibility is the most importantIs there any one also in the same timeframe? Like passed eligibility, criminal, biometric, medical but waiting for background check?
Eligibilty is the most important stage, because without having an approved sponsor and applicant would not qualify.I am complete opposite everything but eligibility…. And I heard eligibility is the most important
I believe that's pretty common. My eligibility and background check never showed in progress, they jumped straight from "not started" to "completed"
Definitely is from what I've seen - received portal info (and submitted photo and address) the day before the strike. Patiently waiting for eCOPR xD hoping the strike won't drag it out too long lolI believe that's pretty common.
I mention this primarily because we constantly see posters here complaining that IRCC "hasn't even started" some step - whereas the usual explanation is that this 'not started' does not mean anything at all.Definitely is from what I've seen - received portal info (and submitted photo and address) the day before the strike. Exactly - most ghost updates will mean something has started or moving through the stages of completion, something saying it hasn't started means nothing. All you have to do is have your account linked to a couple different trackers and the information won't match. Even the automated updates on the phone line don't match up. I got PR approval email and portal credentials last Tuesday. When I called Friday it still said they hadn't started my background even though the application tracker showed as completed.I mention this primarily because we constantly see posters here complaining that IRCC "hasn't even started" some step - whereas the usual explanation is that this 'not started' does not mean anything at all.
Of course, that's just a dumb system giving people useless information, but still - it doesn't necessarily mean it 'hasn't been started.'
Exactly... This is what I am doing now..So who else moved from checking their application's status to checking the PSAC strike status updates every few hours?
Checking anything that frequently is not healthy. So who else moved from checking their application's status to checking the PSAC strike status updates every few hours?
