You receive an e-certificate only if you have been selected for it or if you applied after 4th Jan 23 and selected it as an option. You have to cut the PR card during the ceremony in front of the officer. If you fly out(If only, the existing passport allows you to do that after taking citizenship of another country) you will need Canada passport to come back and for that you need the citizenship certificate for which you need an address in Canada and may take anywhere between 1-2 weeks to get. You can apply for passport outside Canada with it.Sorry for my many questions below, I’m outside Canada and I’m trying to understand the process a bit more, if anyone can answer the below questions it’ll be very helpful
Did you receive an E-certificate? What if someone is flying out after the ceremony, can they keep their pr card and continue with the ceremony? Can you apply for your first passport from outside Canada
