Oh, you don't even know the full story. So, basically I went to SG to specifically handle that part of the project. The next step would be handled in Moscow and I and one more guy would actually complete it in Russia and deliver it on the market; first national one and then international. It was in a contract that I will be handling a project from the start to finish. In response to that, we allowed SG to send their engineers to handle a certain part of another project. When I got to SG, I wasn't given a project lead role but instead, it was given to a SG guy. I informed the company and they got in contact with SG and they were told that it's something to do with SG laws (BS) and I will technically be the lead, just another guy would do business presentations for stakeholders. You know, PPT with bunch of graphs, etc. In 3 weeks, problems started. The SG guy would not allow me to do my work, telling everyone to run decisions by him and not me. On top of that, when I visited that guys presentation (I wasn't invited, just came randomly), I realized that he takes credit for all my work. Before escalating it further (I was super pissed at that point), I called a meeting with SG guys, presented the facts and told them to make me a chapter lead without any buts/ifs/maybes; if they can't, I want to know the exact law, so I can hire a lawyer from SG and see what can be done. At that point, I was told that I cannot be a chapter lead because "I am not presentable enough for stakeholders and it's important for PR to have *SG guy* to do presentation".
I escalated the whole situation to my managers in Russia, whose response was super fast. They removed all the access from SG guys in Russia, they were not allowed to any premises. I was told to leave SG and come back to Russia.
