Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your trip. But glad you were able to submit your application today. Did you go to a Service Canada since you cancelled the trip, or were you still able to go to a Passport Canada with your itinerary?

I'm happy to say that I had my oath yesterday and my tracker updated to Completed today. So time to start watching my mailbox and hope I will receive the certificate soon. The Service Canadas in my area usually have no appointments available, but I was able to snag one for November 10 late at night. Will be trying again after receiving the certificate in hopes of maybe getting something sooner. I have no idea of the availability of walk-ins here and don't have time to keep lining up for a walk-in only to not be able to get a spot.

I was actually refreshing the booking page every few minutes yesterday and I was able to have four slots booked for this morning. Service Canada office in Burlington treated all four slots, although at different times, as one booking so that was quite helpful. It was a bit of a pain to keep on checking/refreshing the calendar often, but I was able to get those scheduled. I got there at 8.20am; I was in at 8.35 and out before 10.20am... so all in all, all good.

I gave up trying to go to the passport office as my trip next week was cancelled. It seems that for now, I will be travelling domestically... which is definitely not a problem.

@andrem @trumprefugee I will check my passport situation on line after 20 working days - even though the service standard is 10+ days it does say 17 weeks at the moment - there are suggestions here or there that the hump of the delays has passed and Sept applicants should expect it a little sooner. I have marked my calendar for mid January - if I get it before that - Bonus - if not - well - I'm kind of used to waiting now.......

I am also on 28 months and I am planning to travel around mid December. I am quite tired of waiting and have finished all steps except oath ceremony..no invitation yet.
I don't even have DM. When did u get DM?

I only have the oath left on my application.

Is there anyone updating the 2020 excel sheet? or are we too old?

No DM, I just got my tracker updated with :waiting for you to take oath.
Letter of invitation for oath eas received 2 days later.
I am finally taking oath in person tomorrow after almost 29 months of waiting.
Already 29 months...

Yeah I don’t understand why they are so slow
I took oath today in person and the judge informed us that during the pandemic, staff also had families with kids and couldn't work normally.
They usually get 2 (maybe he also said 3) batches of 100 people swearing in every day in person but that just wasn't possible.
Moving to online oath ceremony was complicated too.
They are now trying to get back to the normal process, but we already know there is a backlog since 2020. Btw I applied in May 2020.
Glad this step is over and will now apply for the passport early next week.
