Yes still waiting. Like some other people on here i have decided to focus on other things. once a month i send a webform to ircc for an update. My application is in Mississauga IRCC sitting on "May 2020 Inventory Shelf". I am tired of seeing no changes to my account. What's the fuck is wrong with your application? You're still waiting for test?!
So... today I received back the certified copy from the federal court on my family's Application for Leave and Judicial Review regarding our citizenship application... let's see how this goes. Lawyer said usually there is some traction after 3 weeks or so. Fingers crossed.Maybe an email to your processing office - I too have passed 27 months -
Keep us posted. That is NONSENSE!!!! Same date as me - have test waiting for oath since last October -
They'd look up your last name on Google to see your ethnicity and then prioritize...RacistYes still waiting. Hi Orlaith - this is the name of the file for submission of the writ of Mandamus. I am currently a little past 26 months, but as there was no citizenship test invitation there is no way they will comply with the 27 months to have the process completed as per their website.@andrem I am not sure what one of those is..... did you put that together because you had passed the 27th month? Hi Orlaith - this morning it shows now that my wife and I have been scheduled for citizenship test between July 22 - August 11. I simply could not believe my eyes when I saw this this morning. I still cannot believe it!! Interestingly enough it happens almost a week after I sumitted my mandamus... time to study now and practice... I have to assume that putting a legal action has some effect LOL.@andrem I am not sure what one of those is..... did you put that together because you had passed the 27th month? Oath ceremony July 7, 2022
Thanks to everyone who was posting to this thread for the last 2+ years since we all applied in May 2020.
To those who haven't heard from IRCC yet - contact your MP, they may help. I don't think calling the hotline or sending webforms will do something, but an MP is a real person and they have power to positively affect a timeline of your application.
With that, as my nickname ToBeCanuck is saying, well, I am a Canuck now. Eh.
WOW, I really do wonder is this a coincidence/fluke or is it because of the mandamus. Either way BEST OF LUCK to you - here is hoping you do well and have better luck then me in getting your oath in a timely manner. I did my test in Oct 21 and no oath yet...... let us know how you get on!!!! The initial submission of the document was $1,500 + HST + $50 government fee. An additional $4,500 + HST may be need if the process moves to the point when it requires an Application Record with the Federal Court. As per my lawyer, only once in several years she saw a process that led to an Application Record - and also one can withdraw at any stage so there is no obligation to incur the $4,500 cost.
Sure thing - I will keep you update as soon as I have any update on this. Fingers crossed.
