Well, I tried, but it did not work out. I actually got an officer who answered and said I would need to go to an enrollment center. He said either go to one in the US or wait until the ones in Canada open. Perhaps they have gotten too many people asking them to update remotely and have put an end to it.When you contact the number here https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/menu-eng.html you'll likely leave a voicemail. An individual officer will call you back and give you their personal e-mail address to send the documents to. They'll also be able to provide info on the fax number for the US side.
From the way it was explained to me, US CBP cannot update the CBSA side. So, if you visit the US side and update it, I'd use it with caution. It can be revoked if either side isn't updated.I called them to update the info and the agent told me u can visit enrollment or interview centre's in Usa and ask them to update your info
Yes, once you update in the US side you’ll need to update the Canadian side. I will say that the US officer said she would ask the Canadian office once the Canadian officer got back to her desk. That didn’t happen. Maybe you’ll have better luck than me.From the way it was explained to me, US CBP cannot update the CBSA side. So, if you visit the US side and update it, I'd use it with caution. Which section do you look at to check if information is updated? Will they completely remove the old citizenship / PR card details etc.?So finally, all details in my profile are clean. It happened exactly after 2 weeks like explained by the CBP officer. Hopefully that also means its updated in the Canadian side.
