I am trying to understand whether we could submit second application without withdrawing the first application as it adds further delay (waiting till withdrawal is approved and then submit the 2nd application).

Looks like in the case of multiple applications, we can choose which application should be processed first and which one should be kept on hold.

Excerpt from the above link:

Application on hold

• If the client does not wish to withdraw an application, the client can choose which application is processed first. A note will be put on the other application and the local office or the CPC-S will hold it pending the outcome of the chosen application.

So looks like we can safely submit another application and let CPC-S know that we want this one to be processed first. Please let me know if anyone has different view on this. Thanks.

I hear you. The silver lining is actually: maybe that's why they're aggressively finishing mostly paper apps right now: so that they can deprecate paper altogether once the eapps cover family applications and representatives.

As long as people keep sending on paper, the load of paper won't be done.

At one point, IRCC will have to mandate it, sure: "Applications eligible for online submitted as paper will be returned", or something along those lines.

Hope they realize that soon and make that mandate asap.. (On the side, your online application timeline doesn't look too bad at all actually. Hope you get to do the ceremony soon!)

So far, my online application is still not closed. I did send it through web form, and I also made a paper copy sent with the new paper application. I guess it will take them some time to cancel my online one then

I'd been angry and depressed and last checked late night June 10-11 and had been trying to not check again until at least this coming Friday. But now I read your message and couldn't resist checking, and FINALLY an update of Physical presence, Language, Prohibitions completed on June 13!

Nothing so far. I guess they will either process it or return it to me. But since I have not received my returned package, I guess it is not opened by them yet

Just received my ATIP files this morning. I am an Oct 28, 2021 Online applicant. My AOR was Jan 21, 2022. The file is in e-inventory, with secondary office Niagara Falls (assigned since 21 jan 2022). My application is routine: all documents I sent them have been reviewed except the non-PR days for physical presence. ATIP also says that as of Jan 21 (which is the date I received AOR), nothing have started but I see due dates for when security clearance and criminality were supposed to be completed ( the due dates were Feb 2022 and April 2022 respectively, and we are already June 2022).

I could see in the page 40 the notes of the Officer saying that my language credentials are valid and that the physical presence is also a yes. So maybe the BCG was in the works and not updated in the system, and the same for other categories. Whether they do so or not on time is the biggest question to be had. All the sections have due dates of Jan 2023 in my case (meaning they should update language, tax review, physical presence and even the test by this date). What I noticed in the ATIP is that it basically reproduces the process for granting the AOR but not anything else that comes after it. Since I registered in the e-tracker on jan 24 where my application was in progress, I don't know if ATIP tells the story of what happens after the AOR or not. That is my understanding but I could be wrong.

My paper application was delivered on June 7th, but I'm still waiting for AOR from them. I guess they either has not seen it (which I doubt as many other June applicants have received AOR), or they are debating what to do with my request (they did not send it back either)
