They might have applied with emergency conditions. Or they are just pure lucky

yes, except one of them, EVERY single applicant who has test invite or even background checks completed is a paper applicant (usually families)

Guys, there is no need crying over spilt milk or trying to change from online to paper, can someone who is good in crafting petitions help in creating a petition about this to house of commons and share the link so we all sign the petition https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Home/Index

If you check the November 2021 sheet, many online applicants have already received test dates. The point is, online applications have picked up pace "this year". That's a rationale and this trend will only improve. Like I said earlier, it's not a good idea to march backwards in time. Online is the way to go, and paper applications will soon be phased out.

There seems to be a pattern of IRCC prioritizing recent applications. Have you noticed how applicants (both paper and online) in the last couple months have been getting AOR within a few days?! Mine came 3 months after submitting, which was normal at that time, and earlier online 2021 applicants were taking up to 6 months to get AOR! But we 2021 applicants are still progressing better than many forgotten 2020, 2019, and even 2018 applicants

I sure hope to God this is true, but I have to admit that I am quite pessimistic after seeing last year's correspondence and the differences in processing times between paper and online applicants for 2022

I have learned that the Information Commissioner is a joke, waste of taxpayer money. The law says that the IRCC has to reply to ATIP requests within 30 days or inform the requestor of a formal extension with a valid reason. They didn’t do either of them as they don’t have a valid reason to delay. So I filed a complaint with the Information Commissioner. Now I got a response that they refuse to investigate the complaint because the IRCC already replied. Sure they did, after 61 days, with 3 violations of the Access to Information Act. These people don’t care about the law or anything, they are still getting paid regardless, just like how they were getting paid for sitting at home, doing nothing, causing backlogs by using COVID-19 as an excuse while everyone else had to work.

I sent a paper application package along with an application to withdraw the online application.

So far, my online application is still not closed. I did send it through web form, and I also made a paper copy sent with the new paper application. I guess it will take them some time to cancel my online one then
