Congratulations. Which office!
Thank you. The Oath was taken before a Citizenship Judge at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan even though it was an online ceremony. So, I guess the certificate was mailed out from Saskatchewan to Vancouver.... actually I'm not 100% sure, but that Oath was for applicants from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and BC, a total of 4 provinces....

Hello everyone
I’m June 2021 applicant from Windsor
Processing office - Niagara
Test completed on March 3
Background completed on April 10
Complete silence after that
Seems like Niagara office is in deep sleep.
Anybody experienced the same ?
Hey our timelines are very similar. I'm in Ottawa with Niagara Falls processing office. See my signature. Radio silence since taking test at the beginning of March. Very frustrated.

But if someone can help me understand. What possibly could they be looking at any further the background check covers all aspects of things. I have included proof of language, I’ve been living here for 8 years and only travelled thrice so my residency days are wayyyy in surplus. Why is it taking them so long to approve my file this is an open and shut case. I’ve been working at the same job for 8 years my NOA’s are on file with cra every year. I don’t get what’s taking so long. I just don’t understand what’s left to be checked before a decision is made
I’m sure there are many straightforward applications sitting on their shelves or drives. They are open and shut cases but only if someone look at them. Unfortunately we don’t have any say in the matter and will be there for a while. Last update for me was the test on Feb 11 marked completed. After that, I’m probably stuck in BG check. It’s frustrating to say the least since I’m planning to relocate for a job opportunity and once I do, my application will be considered officially as non routine. June 1st online applicant.

But my BG check is complete too. Since more than one month now. I don’t get what else is there to actually do. So why the delay. It doesn’t make any sense to me
As a advice don't try to make sense with ircc you won't succeed. Completed my background in nov and test in dec... complete silence after that, and here I see people giving test in May and are already scheduled for oath. I have tried everything from webform, gcms notes, emails to the processing office but nothing works, I used to check my tracker like a mad man but now I don't do that. Just engage yourself to your daily routine and this will Pass..Good Luck

Just need to wait. Some people clear background check significantly before being invited to take the test.

Depending on what type of Passport you are applying for, I mean to say what category.

Regular passports without travel plans:

Postal: More than 3 months
Mail in : More than 3 months
Walk in Service Canada: more than 3 months

urgent passports with Travel plans:

travel dates:
Less than 2 days:
Urgent Pickup: $ 110 Fee + Passport Fee

Travel More than 2 days:
Express Pick up $ 50 per application + Passport Fee

If you would like to have a peace of mind, just get a ticket to Newyork or somewhere (fully refundable) and go for express pickup pay 50 extra get the passport and say goodbye to passport canada and cancel the ticket and get your money back, all you lose is 50 dollars extra per passport but it is worth than waiting and calling million times to speak once to know it is not reviewed Yet. Follow the passport application forums for more details.

The timelines are based on most common reviews by the applicants, it doesn't apply to one in blue moon who got their regular application quick passport. I am a Walk in Service Canada Applicant waiting for the passport (Applied at Service Canada on March 19th, Mail out April 20th, Passport printed May 12th (for my son & myself), May 18th (wife), yet not received, and they say they haven;t mailed out yet. as of today I have not received my passport. There are people who applied before me and not received , some applications not even reviewed Yet.
can I use air ticket reservation to apply for urgent passport?

Confirmed Flight ticket is more than sufficient if you are meeting the given timelines. Wish you good luck.
