Any one have Idea about average time it takes to get PPR after your medicals are done? Mine were done on June 30. I am wondering if I should contact Ottawa office to see if they have forwarded the medicals to Buffalo office? Have any one talked to Ottawa office before and do they respond to the inquiry? My ecas shows in process with file procession started in May.

It take between one to three months depend on your VO. However, I am sure that you are going to get yours very soon. I contacted Ottawa and they were very nice to me but people who did the same after me wasn`t happy so I will not recommend you to contact them. Just be patient and you will get it.

I wanted to know if it is possible to apply before I finish my masters program, say if I had 2 months left and I applied, because by the time I get called for an interview, I would have completed the program. Is that possible?

Hello all,
Good news!
A lot of my friends are getting and using their health insurance cards earlier than reported by MICC. We all believed in the fact that you cannot be cover by Quebec health insurance before the first 90 days post landing. No! No! No! Today I met two friends from Egypt and Japan, respectively. The Egyptian landed on May 28th, two days before the guy from Japan. According to our calculation, both should be able to start using their insurance cards starting the end of this month but it has been stated on the cards that they can use them at beginning of August. Seems like MICC count months instead of days.

when I had applied in 2007 I was given 12 points for my master degree but I was rejected because I wasn't given points from area of training and very few points from french laguage. Now I improved my french language and I have two childrens. I think I will be elgible to get 63 points without getting any points from area of training. My degree is Master in computer science from Sikkim Manipal University. It is distance education. Now my doubt is does they get points for Distance education or not?
In 2007 application they did but I'm confuse in new change. friends plz share your experience.

and next question.my spouse had finished 10+2 in management. and she had took skill test from national skill test board as assistant beautician. do they recognize the skill test. how much points will she get ?

I have a small query, i came to know that we need a certification (registration) if we want to start our profession in canada (that is to find a job) as i am a chemical engineer do i need that if so do we need to take any exam for registration... i have a foreign degree(europe)

You cannot do anything before you get accepted and land. You will be welcome by MICC, carrefour Jenesse Emploi and Quebec Plus.

You could register with the professional body before you apply for a CSQ. The body is called OIQ visit their website and take it from there
