I will be very happy if you can tell me which page it is.

Such an administrative change would only incentivize the government to work faster to meet the one year deadline, which could lead them to make mistakes and not perform their duty of due diligence through the whole process. Domino's Pizza used to have a 30-minute guarantee; it caused drivers to drive recklessly that resulted in a few crashes.

Due diligence is the core of any bureaucracy; whether it be a corporation or government, there are always processes and procedures that need to be followed. To do so otherwise would just be irresponsible.

Refunds will not affect your citizenship.
If you can get a refund after got your citizenship, why not?

This is the best way to communicate with IRCC.

Many people ask MPs for helping, and MPs wrote to IRCC.
But it does not speed up the processing speed.

MP’s job is to write a bill. This is how our democracy works.
I will definitely vote for the MP who fights for us.
MP knows well that you will have the right to vote immediately. This is the biggest difference between permanent residents and citizens.

IRCC only listens to the MP who proposed the bill.
This is the best way to accelerate IRCC processing.
So if the MP that takes up this cause lives in let’s say Nova Scotia and you live in let’s say the Yukon, you’re going to move to Nova Scotia to vote for them ?
If not , I’d probably be studying how the voting system WORKS first in this country , how the parliamentarian system actually WORKS, then getting all up in arms about the delays in the actual getting of citizenship to actually vote in this country

Hi everyone,
I know that some restaurants have the service. If you can not get your order within 20 minutes, it will be free.
Why not ask your MPs to pass the new law? Anyone who applies for citizenship for more than one year should get a refund.

I kindly ask anyone who agrees with me to sign here. Nickname is fine.

I promise that if I can collect more than 2000 signatures.
I will print out this post and send it to all 24 MPs in Metro Vancouver personally.

If you want to write to your MP, please collect as much as a signature you can.
Stupid idea. You pay for a privilege, not a right. No one "needs" to become Canadian.

No one can pay for a privilege. Here people are paying for a govt service for which they should either serve on time or refund is the question, nothing else.

No one "needs" to become: is out of question/context/scope/debate.

How long do I have to wait to become an Indian or Pakistani citizen?

There is no guaranteed timeline, so technically, everything is on time.

also note that $100 is a right of citizenship fee and $530 is a processing fee, you'll get a refund of $100 if requested as the processing has likely been started
