This depends on what you're doing there, who is your employer (Canadian employer or Foreign Government) and whether or not you're paying taxes in Canada. If you're working for construction company doing some renovation for embassy building, then it might be considered as Canadian experience. If you're foreign diplomat, then for sure it is not a Canadian experience.

No - Canadian work experience is work you physically do in Canada for a job in Canada.

I think the correct answer is Yes, unless you are a diplomat. If you are not a diplomat, you do require a work permit to work at the embassy, and you are also required to pay taxes. link here -> w w w . cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/nnrsdnts/ntcs/frgn-eng.html. That would make your work experience relevant for this purpose in my opinion.

The answer is still no. What you have quoted is Canadian tax law. This has nothing to do with immigration law. For immigration purposes, the work experience must be gained in Canada to count as "Canadian work experience".

I'm the spouse in the express entry application,
We come to Canada with work permit because of my wife work,
Couple of months after the landing i started to work in a foreign embassy in non diplomatic job.
My q is am i title to earn some points for canadian work experience ?
The q in the CRS tool:
"How many years of skilled work experience in Canada does your spouse/common-law partner has? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation."

There is nothing about Canadian employee, its only said "work experience in Canada"

Should i risk the application for 5 points or am i right?

I'm not sure whether an Embassy can be considered "in Canada". It's basically foreign territory.

When Canada only allowed citizens to join the Armed Forces, but letting foreign nationals to work at their Embassy?

I was offered a job from a foreign embassy in Canada and they would have hired me through a Canadian company, I would have gotten my salary in CAD and payed taxes in Canada.

I think if the company is Canadian, you pay Canadian taxes (and you are not a diplomat) it should be Canadian work as long as the company has Canadian address and tax information. However, if your employer is the embassy itself I doubt you could count it as Canadian experience.

I think OP worked for a foreign embassy in Canada
