If it's a private college you will not get a Post Graduate Work Permit once you complete your studies. You need to switch to a public college.

Hello, I am currently doing a 1 year diploma program in a private university that ends March 2019, I also intend to pursue a 1 year masters program in a public university in September same year, will I be eligible for a 3 year PGWP as I would have schooled for 24 months ?

You can check the private one here in link below but likely you will only get a 1 year given private institutions rarely qualify for a PGWP so would not count under the 2 year rule

No - you will most likely get a 1 year PGWP based on your Masters only. CIC won't give you any credit for your private school studies.

Hi guys i got admission in private college and due to new rules 5.5 is not working even not in single module . My plan is to after complete of one semester study to change to public college and study rest of the 2 year study over there. So can anyone plz tell me that is that possible to change after one semester or 1 year and do i need to do IELTS again for change college or the Canadain study is equivalent to admission without ietls in public college. And do i get pgwp after 3 year study I mean 1st in private and rest two will be in public if yes what was the duration of the permit.
Thanks.

To be eligible for a PGWP, your program must be 900 hours or longer and lead to 1 of the following:

  • Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) (Diploma in Vocational Studies)
  • Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) (Attestation of Vocational Specialization)
  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) (Diploma in College Studies)
  • Attestation d’études collégiales (AEC) (Attestation of College Studies)

AEC looks like it qualifies, but check with college. That would be the easy way to find out for sure.

Both are private. The first one you mentioned is eligible for PGWP with the following terms:

You are eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) if you complete one of the degrees below and you meet all other PGWP criteria:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with Concentrations
  • Bachelor of Hospitality Management
You are not eligible if you complete any other program at this school.

Vancouver and Montreal are very different cities, so you have to choose where you want to live. Nobody here can do that for you

Yes Canadian college is a private DLI but you will be ok for PGWP as long as the diploma/certificate is issued by st Lawrence College.
