Good evening,
I've read quite a few threads on here regarding the CEC hour calculation. My case, however, is somewhat different.
1)
I work in Oil and Gas, on a rotation, that is 7 days on and 7 days and off 12 hour shifts.
As per the stated rule on CIC website for CEC, only 30hrs/week are considered valid. If that's the case, I'll have to work 2 years to get 1 year experience and that just doesn't sound right to me. Any intake on this matter?
2)
I got my work permit on May 10th, 2018. I had started working with a company in April, 2018 and I worked with that company till June 22, 2018. Do the hours I worked with that company before getting my work permit also count towards 1 year experience?
3)
After working with that company, I got laid off on June 22nd. I found another job and started on July 25th, 2018. I've been working with this company since and so far i've worked 6 months for this company.
I will have the required hours if i count 84hrs/2 weeks on April 25th, 2019. If I take unpaid vacation after April 25th, 2019 and will i still be eligible apply for CEC after May 10th?
