hello i need help
i am in same situation
i do have minor son with me here
but we didn’t submit our file yet for refuggee case
i have emergency can i withdraw only my claim and not my son’s claim
Does your son have proof of persecution? Are you aware he may need to be placed in foster care which is not a great place for children. You also may be separated for many years if not 5-10 years if he doesn’t get approved for asylum.

Hi, I have one question:
If I withdraw my asylum case ( family of 03 kids and parents ) because of some emergency to go back to home country. Can I or any member of my family apply again Canadian Visa in any other category? is there any ban on us ?

No ban but it may be difficult to get a visa:permit especially for your spouse and children.

Please I need help, I want to withdraw my asylum claim. I haven’t gotten a hearing date yet. I lost my dad and I’ve been really sick and need to return back home to take proper care for myself. I reach out to my lawyer and he told me he’s already close for the year. And I need to leave asap. How can I withdraw my claim and get my passport back as quick as possible?

Yes I am through with the process. I have been back in my home country since July . I sent and email with the withdrawal to my lawyer but it was taking to long yo get a response so I went in myself and toke the same form to the office and explained that I needed to leave asap. I also called continuously

Hi, please about your experience while leaving Canada. I withdraw my refugee application and I’ve gotten an email of confirmation of withdrawal from my lawyer. I did visited CBSA office and was given a form to filled and sigh which I did and I email it to them as instructed by an official working there. Please what’s the next step because I keep calling the number that was given to me about my passport to be returned for me to leave but no response. I need help.

Call the removal and deportation section of the CBSA emergency you can google it and ask them if your passport is there because you want to purchase your tickets to leave as soon as possible . The place that you signed those papers should have advised you when to buy your tickets because you have to leave within 30 days . If you leave after 30 days they will enforce a deportation order. This is my experience not everyone was the same I kept calling and I even went back at the office and I got my passport after I proved to them I had tickets to leave .

They will return your passport at the airport. Book a ticket and notify CBSA when you wish to leave Canada so that they can meet you with your passport. You should also advise IRB, your lawyer and any other government agency that you will leave Canada.

I try calling them last week Friday no response. I’m thinking of revisiting the office by Monday and I am thinking of booking my ticket to leave by Friday. I hope they give me good answer when I get there thanks. Or should I book my ticket so that I can show them when going on Monday for them to know I am serious about leaving Canada as soon as possible ?

Would book a ticket but Friday may be tough to accommodate given holiday period. Would probably aim for next week if possible.

Please help, I just called the removal and deportation section of the CBSA emergency number and I was told that I’ll have to wait for 2 or 3 weeks that a officer will contact me for an interview before they can tell me when I can leave. I have already told my Landlord I will be leaving January. What can I do now please I need help. Is there a way they can make it faster. I’m thinking of returning back to the CBSA office for help because I have money to book my ticket myself.

He was honestly not helpful and did not even want to let me explain anything.i mean who responded to the call
Sadly this is probably the worst time of year to be calling. There is minimal staff and often less experienced staff running bare bones operations.
