Would suggest you try and speak to your MP’s office because this is time sensitive and IRCC will basically shut down for 2 weeks over Christmas. They could try to flag that you need you withdrawal done as soon as possible for family emergency.

Walk in or Call CBSA to arrange releasing your passport at point of exit

You need to arrange for CBSA to return your passport and book a ticket. They typically only return your passport as you are boarding your flight.

Does ircc allows in person i requested withdrawal but cbsa says we cannot let you go until confirm withdrawl i have an emergency can i go in person ircc to ask them to give confirmation on urgent basis

When I worked at the airport and immigration was involved in ensuring that person actually departed . Immigration would give me ( the agent ) the persons passport. I would checkin the passenger, give the passport back to immigration. NOT the passenger. Immigration would escort passenger to gate . Wait at gate . Wait till plane pushed back . Immigration would then come back to me to once again RECONFIRM boarding . Immigration does not take people word they’ll leave . It’s concrete evidence they’ve departed. More so, why should they?

Your TRV is usually cancelled electronically n you apply for asylum

Sorry no it shouldn’t take 16 weeks because you will have a removal order enforced in 15 days then deportation order in 30 so I’m not sure what exactly was the process you followed

Hey) Thank you to share your experience, did you receive your passport already?
I'm confused by the timing. Perhaps a couple of weeks for confirmation of deportation is only for urgent cases, and 16 weeks is the basic waiting time for a passport return? Please let me know about your progress, it's important!
