Pl. tell one more thing i have applied under FS and my case was filed thru a lawyer from manitoba. my question is when i get the LOA and other pacakge of application for apply again to Nova Scotia who will file my case again ?? my lawyer or me

Sponsors are interviewed before any LOA is approved. Some applicants also get interviewed, but it's on a case by case basis. Average waiting is usually 5-8 months, but it might be longer (or shorter) because all the streams are under one stream now.

I have no idea if the online application will be faster. It used to expedite the process, but since April 2013, they have changed the policy and made all streams into one and all applications are only online. So, this might either make the process faster or slower from the average processing time.

you can directly send your documents to CIO-NS. otherwise, if you like your sponsor (am i correct lawyer is your principal sponsor?) to review your documents first then it is also okay. it will take a longer time however, if you would like your sponsor to review your documents first.

i guess most of the forum mates used this forum to ask questions about the proper filing of documents before sending it directly to CIO-NS.


this is just an option, the decision will still be on your side. good luck

I'm an April/2013 applicant for mpnp. I was requested for additional documents in September which I submitted round two weeks ago.Not sure how long will it take them to interview my sponsor .Does it vary ,and if it does then to what extent.

Can't really say how it varies, but based on my experience, my sponsor was interviewed less than a month after I submitted additional documents (bank statement). Probably give it 2-4 weeks, your sponsor should be interviewed soon.

IMHO, the time frame varies because of the applicant's circumstances i.e. marital status/ occupation etc. and what kind of additional documents are required i.e. bank statement/ work experience. All these, makes each application unique, therefore, there is no exact time line.

My sister in law live in Toronto and my husband visit her before he marry me. But we have a lot of close friends in manitoba. So in what way I will convene them. Please is it good not to disclose that fact in the application.

I have a question though, the immig officer told our endorser that SHE or WE will get a notification thru email?? Any idea what will that be? I felt that it is very unlikely to receive a notification from them aftr the intrvw. Only thing i can think of is a notifcation that my sponsor is not capable to sponsor hence i am not waiting for an loa but for an lor.. Share me your thoughts please.. I am really worried
