Its pathetic how windsor office takes forever to accept a file coming from Sydney office.

In my case, its been 1 month and my file is still in transit and have not been received by Windsor office and no officer has been assigned to it which is giving un-necessary delay inprocessing of my application.

No, I havent applied for gcms. Lot of 2019 are waiting still and cic is playing with all of us and sending test invite for dec2020 online applicants.
So its not giving me any hope that there will be any development on file progress.

How will you be able to know whether the file is in Windsor office or Sydney office? My application just says it's in process.

you can call ircc and the agent can look into your file and tell you.

My status went to In process on Feb 1st and Till yesterday, my file was still in transit to Windsor as confirmed by GCMS notes and agent on call.

Lol, Is someone taking your application physically from Sydney and stated walking to Windsor? Thats the only way it could take this long to reach windsor

That's exactly I think how IRCC sends applications to local IRCC offices from Sydney office

I enquired on my application few days ago just to poke them and they just replied as usual with blah blah.... So no use i guess. We need to be lucky to get the test invite.

I just asked them via webform hence not sure about it. I did not get gcms. May be i will apply for it this month and see how far its complete.

I work for a company in Detroit and do daily commute since 2017. My visa is about to end by 2022 April.
If I didn't receive my citizenship, I will lose my and become unemployed. Windsor doesn't have any jobs in my field and I need to shift my base completely. Does this qualify me for an urgent processing application?

No. Its only for jobs within Canada but there is no harm is putting up a request.
