Will I be denied or application delayed?

I'm attempting to apply for PR to be with my wife and son in Canada. I've already filled out all the paperwork and have the money to pay for the fees. My problem is, we can't seem to find her T4s, Unemployment and Child Tax Benefit papers she received to do her taxes in 2010. It says they are required along with an Option C printout, which we have. Now, it takes the CRA 5-10 business days to send it to us, and my status in Canada expires in 3 days. Obviously not enough time to receive them and send them at the same time. I'm wondering if I'll be denied if I send my application and all the paperwork now, then send the copies of the T4s, Unemployment and Child Tax Benefit papers when I receive them within 5-10 business days. I personally don't see why it would hurt me considering it takes 6-9 months for them to process my application anyways, but I figured I'd ask here. Anyone been in this situation?

have you paid the fees? if so then why dont you just apply to extend your visitor status (make sure to send in the app BEFORE your status expires) then youll have more time as you will be on implied status while they determine if they are going to extend your visitor record.

as for the rest that stuff will be needed to determin if your wife is eligable to sponsor you (i believe) so i wouldnt send it in without it or they will just send your app back to you.

I haven't paid the fees yet. Was getting everything prepared to ship out tomorrow. I don't want to have to spend an additional $75 if I don't need to, considering money is already tight with us since she's the only one that can work. Don't they usually take 6 months to determine if she's eligible to sponsor me? So if I send it in a few days later, it should be fine right? I think I'll do what the other person said (not sure where their post went) and call them to see if I can submit a letter stating why it's not with it as of yet. I'm just curious if anyone else has been in this situation and what was the outcome of it all.

I think T4 is not needed if you are submitting option C print. It has got all information needed for them to know about your tax and income status...

I am applying inland.

@CharlieD10: Thank you for those time frames. I am applying to Vegreville because that's where they told me to apply. It's been a pain doing it myself, but at least I know it'll get done unlike previously when I had the help of a "consultant" and my papers magically never showed up and my $550 went missing :-X

I will apply to sponsor my son and husband within one week after arriving canada. I have no job and didn't file tax. As proof of income i can show money in bank. I can also submit the tax certificate from bangladesh, proof of income i did here. Will I be eligible to sponsor? Is there any one who already approved in the same situation? Please let me know. Thanks everyone.

Hey dude, i dont mean to come across harsh on ya but ure setting urself up to be screwed indefinitely, first of all why would u let it go to that extent that ur status is running out? Secondly living in Canada u shouldve known better that u cannot be out of status for ONE hour and reapply for a second application u gotta do it long before the first status expires!!

I SERIOUSLY hope you complain about that "consultant". Here's the link to complete the complaint.

Don't be a jerk.

To the OP, send what you have with a cover letter letting them know the rest will be available when they send your file number and/or request it.

rjessome,
Can you comment on whether his application processing time will be longer if he goes out of status before or after Vegreville receives his application? I'm thinking that $75 extension would be money well spent, but I'm not as familiar with inland apps.

actually as soon as your application is sent off (for extending stay or work permit in the case of inland apps) you're considered to be under implied status and as far as I'm aware you cant apply for an extension or anything long before the first status expires. you can only apply within 30 days of the expiration and processing times for mail in applications are over 100 days to extend status.

No, it won't be longer for the inland app. But there's no need of him going out of status. He can send the application through Priority Post which is a Canada Post courier. The date stamp will keep him in status as long as it is BEFORE his current status expires. However, if he can't get it together, he should apply ONLINE for an extension BEFORE his status expires. Staying in status is important so I agree that the $75 is money well spent.

No. You MUST apply for an extension BEFORE your current status expires. Otherwise you are out of status and have to apply for Restoration. The 30 days is BEFORE the status expires.
