Hello there,
If you can help me out here it will be great help, I have applied to this property in Toronto, hotel bame- Chelsea hotel. I have applied through 1 of the agent here in India so it’s a contract work visa for 3 years by that hotel.
So apparently I have got contract from this hotel and the contract does not seem appropriate because the logo on top of the paper and the editing is not proper.
And that agent told me I don’t have to pay anything before the visa comes once it come then i have to pay a good amount so is this appropriate because later i have to submit my passport to them and they we send it to embassy.

Why would you submit your passport to an agent? Looks scam to me!

Why don't you cross varify all the details with that hotel?

I tried reaching them on linked in as the hotel is closed due to Covid 19 but I haven’t received any messages from them.
I got an reply from the agent, i will copy paste it here then help me ok

This is the date of acceptance of your Offer Letter, this is now gone for Process of Canadian Legal Labour procedure. Which would take about 30 - 45 days, then another 20-30 days for Visa Process, ( But, Subject to Lifting of Lock down). Shall inform you as per the Progress. Your responsibility is to arrange and keep the Service Charges of @ Rs. 06 Lakhs, ready. Once you receive all Relevant Documents as per your desire and as discussed and approved by Us, then when you get Your Work Contract, Visa Endorsed, Ticket, etc, You pay the Service Charge @ Rs. 06 Lakhs, and You Leave for your job to Toronto - Canada.

Because hotels never hire workers this way. This is a very well know scam. No chance this is real.

Also, why on earth would a hotel be hiring anyone right now. Hotels have no business. They are letting staff go, not hiring new people.

They are hiring after September and also there is an immigration lawyer helping for the paper work so even that is fake?

Yes they did accommodation, food and flight they said they will do that thing. So?

A real employer would never pay for any of these things.

So why did they say that i have to pay the fees in the last when my visa will come after then only i have to pay. I dont have to spend any amount before the visa. Sorry for the trouble i am giving but i just need to be sure, also that agency here in mumbai is based since log time like more then 15 years

Because they are scammers. The visa they give you will not be real. You'll be paying money for a fake visa.

Anyway, what you do is your choice. If you want to throw your money away, you can go ahead and do that.

I can see lot of advisors here claiming that it is fake. Can any one of these proclaim that it is genuinely fake and is ready to face legal consequences. It is very easy to write in such quorum. But justify before you can say it is fake.
