I believe a spouse MUST be approved if they meet all the requirements. They cannot be legally turned down if they meet all the requirements. This makes it a right.
Seems like I've read the law more than you today! Maybe you are the one that needs to read the law again?
Yeah I just don't get all the people telling me to be quiet and accept a slow and flawed system. All I am trying to do is help people get to Canada faster, but everyone seems to think that is a horrible thing.
This forum is meant to help out people with their applications and in most cases its people needing help regarding filling forms pre submission and later on people keeping track of each other’s timelines. Everyone replies here by taking out part of their own personal time in assisting so be a little respectful of people that take time out to reply to you. You put up a rant thread which is fine, its a public forum you are well within your right but get this, no one told you to accept a flawed system but all they did was explain why the system is the way it is. You want people here to accept and say you’re right but you yourself dont keep an open mind on what others are trying to explain to you. Had you done that people would have been more willing to empathise. You say you’re trying to help people get to Canada faster. I am sorry to say this but you aren’t adding an ounce worth to fasten the process by arguing or starting a thread on a forum that majorly deals with application based discussions not flawed immigration policies. If you really want to help people that you claim, use the right channels, oppose the current regime, bring about a change and when you successfully do so, come here and share it with others. That way people will be more understanding and accepting of your need of doing good for ‘Future Canadians’ as you say. And just to be clear, immigrating to Canada for the non Canadian spouse of a Canadian Citizen is not a legal right for the spouse. YOU have the right to apply and bring your spouse to Canada and yes like you said, if they meet all the requirements they will be allowed to enter Canada no one’s questioning that. But understand this, If the non Canadian spouse had a legal right, there would not be many Permanent Residents (and even some naturalised Canadian Citizens) that get deported back to their country of birth if they pose a serious threat to other Canadians after securing this so called ‘right’ you claim they have . So Good luck with eradicating the flaws and hope you change the future of your ‘Canadian’ families by actually implementing more than just a rant here on the forum...
It’s still not a right ! It’s a privilege . I think you are frustrated as a lot of us are with the wait. Stop comparing your app to others , get yourself some patience and wait.
Did you read his story? No wonder why his application is taking so long. He had some issues at the border... I did not bother to read more.

I believe he applied in February as well if I’m not mistaken . Lol I’m done on this thread and with his rant. He needs to learn patience and Not think everything is his right .
these express entry are not just for contract workers but also people with urgent family emergencies... do u have an emergency that your wife needs to be here asap?? also for a guy living here for 30 years in canada you should somewhat know that canada lives off its tax payers money, like a natural resource lol.. for an entrepreneur person who has a business, why not travel and visit your wife? and you say you want to pay double the tax? go buy a plane ticket asap you seem so desperate. just like the rest of us here wish we're like you with deep pockets and visit our families/spouse anytime we please.
I think he is "forced" to live in US with his wife because of some unpleasant experience at the border.
Actually, if you met someone today, got married tomorrow and applied for sponsorship the next day, despite meeting the requirements (you entered into a marriage contract of your own free will, they aren’t a criminal or a terrorist), IRCC can still refuse your application. You can appeal, but the courts can still uphold the IRCC decision. So it’s not a right. You can apply, but there is no guarantee it will actually be approved. There a whole string in the family sponsorship section if people who’s spousal sponsorship has been refused for a variety of reasons.
