I can imagine how hard that must've been for you.ColorMePanda said:Our main decision for me to immigrate to Canada was based on the fact that my husband has Cystic Fibrosis. He is still seen by doctors that have known him since he was born and know what he needs. Everything is supplied for him for free. I felt it was very important that he stay where his essential needs would be taken care of. Plus he was only in the US for 4 months and when we arrived back, he had to be hospitalized for the first time in his whole life. He was there for 3 weeks. Those were the longest 3 weeks of my life. I could have lost him and he could have never have gotten all the things he needed for free and so fast if he was at my home. It was then that it hit me, that his health was what mattered most especially if we wanted to spend a long life together. Also, since he has Cystic Fibrosis, the only way we can produce a child is through in vitro fertilization. In vitro is not covered under provincial medical coverage but it is much more affordable here than in the United States. Also, when we do have children, I want them to grow up in a healthy environment with clean air and lots of nature.
All in all, I can see the two of us having a very successful life together here.
And my main reason for immigrating is because I fell in love with a handsome man named Grant. He is my heart and soul. <3
I am sure you all know where I am coming from.
But happy that you can both live in a place where he'll be well taken care of.
I wish you the best, I hope it all works out for you.
