who is ..principal applicant

hello folks please this guidelines can be confusing.i will like to know who the principal applicant is?

The principal applicant is the person being sponsored. For example. I am Canadian and I am married to a Mexican. I am sponsoring my Mexican husband to come to Canada therefore he is the principal applicant.

 

[Ponga]

The person that is applying for sponsorship from their Canadian spouse or partner.

Principal Applicant = Sponsored Person
