How to change address on line? I only have case number which is my sponsorship address? Maybe I choose the wrong one, but that's the only number I have. Where I can find my parents UIC number? Thanks

You can log on as a sponsored person on the same site with the same file number. For me I changed my address after I log in as me (Sponsor). Then I log into the page with my Mom info (Primary applicant) and changed her address.

Hi everyone, I have watched this forum for the past two weeks,it's extremely helpful. I want to share my timeline as well.
My parents application received Jan 6 and parents in law received on Jan 10. Only emails we received was the acknowledgement from June 2014.
Ecas status: my parents shows in progress under sponsorship ( since March 4), also in progress under permanent resident application ( as of last week) parents in law show received for both lines
I ordered GCSM notes a month ago, today I got the notes. Seems like my parents "passed" SA, parents in law "in process", notes are pretty detailed and I am very surprised !
However , I am concerned I never received any email/letter ( looks like it was a mail sent from the notes)

Anyway, those who are with similar time of application receipt should not be concerned I believe !

Thanks for your effort preparing the excel tracker, would you mind adding my timeline ? It seemed I had some problem keying using iPad , much appreciated

When you checked your ecas, under permanent resident application, does it show "in progress " or" received"? I remember I saw one of your notes saying it was in progress, then changed back to "received", .......

Thank you! I did log in. The problem is my parents are out of Canada and it only allow me change their address in Canada and I can't choose other country. Can I change their home address to mine but they still live in other country? The problem is the address they are using now they can't receive mails

under PR Application it did say in progress, but changed back to received, and there it has stayed! Under the Sponsorship part it says in progress, but we've had sponsorship approval... I've heard on this forum to not pay much attention to ecas... people have had passports back and it's still said received!

Also, re your question about address... I changed my mums to my address in Canada, that way I figured nothing would go missing when she comes over... I didn't change it to her foreign address... hope that helps!

I added both your apps under Parents2014 #1 and Parents2014 #2 usernames. You can check them out and let me if they are correct. BTW, I need PAYMENT CHARGE DATE (best remembered) for both app.

Parents #1 credit charged on 23 Jan 2014 and #2 on 28 Jan 2014
Parents #2 sponsorship in progress on Mar 18 according to the Gcms notes.
I called CIC today and was told parents #1 file transfer to Ottawa on apr 8 2016

@kiwi2016,

Thanx for your post.

We ,too, are facing a similar situation. Ecas RELATING to my parents' file turned to "IN PROCESS" on April 22,2016 nd besides this it carried only permanent address of my parents. But again, on May 14/12,2016 it started showing "APPLICATION RECEIVED" with unchanged line "we recvd. your application on......" in the box.Interestingly,it now carries current address of my parents in addition to their permanent address.

I am not sure what does it imply. Yes, I agree with your point of view that ecsa cannot be always relied upon.

Good luck. may God bless all !!!!!
