WHEN YOUR PARENT SPONSORSHIP 2014 APPLICATION REACHED CPC-M? UPDATE HERE...

Hi All,

I just called CIC to check what is happening to my application. The agent informed me that the quota is full and I will receive MAIL informing either Rejection or Acceptance. She says it may take a month or so to hear this. I am not sure whether it is generic answer.

When asked about whether they are still charging credit cards, I was told that Customer Service may not be aware of what is going on in Mississauga as they are two different departments.

So - with this - it is clear to me that I am not in that list of accepted applications.

My application was reached at 1:17pm on January 21st. but my card has not been charged yet.
Anyone's CC charged for application reached after 1:17pm on January 21st.?

Nothing yet.Just wondering if they will send the documents back,so I don't have to get the birth cerificate translated and nothary stamped again.
Also wondering why the credit card had to be valid for at least 9 months?Maybe in case the 5000 quota is not filled by sept.?
I will let you know guys once I have any news

No the cap has not reached. Applications are getting accepted. I think anyone whose application has reached till Jan 20 will make up.

But the cap reached now (Announced on Feb 3). It will re open again next year Jan 2.

Seems Apps before 21st Jan managed to sneak in. Hope for the best if you haven't heard anything from CIC yet.

I predicted on Jan 27, that applications reached by 20 Jan will be within 5000 cap. They announced on Feb 3 that cap has been reached but did not mentioned date when it was reached. Most probably it was reached on 21 Jan.

It will be quiet now that the 5000 cap has been reached and put back in queue behind the current PGP processing. These files will not get looked at until old PGP applications are processed first.

The only news we will get since 5000 cap reached is those applications have been returned due to not getting in the cap soon enough.

Everyone who made it within the 5000 cap should be receiving a receipt of application at some point. And I hope that will be received pretty soon though our applications will be in the queue after the existing backlog. Anyone know how many existing applications in queue?

Since May 28, 2010 - Nov 2011 (until the paused) could there be 50,000 applications? that is lot..

Someone posted a message that they got an answer when to expect a receipt of application acceptance of around 3 months time. So expect emails from CIC-V for 5000 applications to be sent out around April.

You have definitely missed the cap for 2014.

To prepare for Jan 2015 submission, make sure you have your NOAs or Option Cs for 2011, 2012 and 2013 in advance.

Getting parents to sign docs is a tricky issue, since CIC may or may not release brand new revisions of the forms in December 2014 or even Jan 2015. You can try to fill out/sign forms in advance, but be prepared to have them sign new docs as soon as possible if new revisions are released right as the program re-opens, and courier them to you the fastest way possible.

Anybody knows what will be the LICO for 2013?
