When you click on In Process, what does it say in more details?

It means they're still processing your application or, if a decision has already made, it might be that your eCAS hasn't been updated yet to reflect the actual status. eCAS is not updated daily, usually once a week or slower (according to CIC website), and I myself have seen glitches with it, for example once my application status was changed to COMPLETED when it was not completed yet... So, don't trust eCAS 100% though most of the time it's accurate.

How long ago was it? Inland or outland application? Which office?

"In Process" is what your application status will show for almost the whole duration of the application process.
Then it will change to "Decision Made" and, finally, to "COMPLETED". But this will be only they're done processing your case.

Look here for a better explanation:

INLAND: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_fam&lang=en&app=ecas

OUTLAND: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_com&lang=en&app=ecas

Below is an example of eCAS for my close family's application under spousal sponsorship inland. They've received their PR already by attending a landing interview, but eCAS still hasn't been updated to reflect all of it... And the general status says, DECISION MADE.

Only a month passed and you are already worrying? :) It's taken 20 months for my close family.............. Applied in summer 2009, received PR in Jan 2011.... You're only in the beginning of the waiting game.... But some cases are faster, you never know.

So you'll see this In Process -> Application received for quite a long time... Then when they have assessed your case, things will start to move a lot quicker. My advice is not to check the status too often, once a month or so is enough. Or maybe even abandon the idea of online status and just wait for a surprise in your mailbox... :) eCAS updates can be pretty slow anyway. When you are not concentrated on waiting, then the time actually passes much faster... But I know, it's easier said than done! I've been in your shoes so I know perfectly how it feels.

Have you received the first letter from CIC about receiving your applicaiton?
