My 2 sisters are applying for Sept 2014 session in Sheridan College from Karachi Pakistan

One sister is 17 and other is 28 years old

My father should be able to show around 70-80k in the bank.

What are the chances of getting the student visa for both my sisters?

bro their main problem is college as CHC is not issuing visas to college pplicants...if they manage to get admission in some university than very bright chances..otherwise just waste of time and money

But I easily got the Study Visa 5 years ago........I applied to the same college

How come they will not get it?

bro its five years ago...now their policy has been changed....last year i saw some cases who got visa but this year no one get visa

so whats the solution to this problem? Universities are very expensive and my father cannot afford it

Any solution?

I agree with saadsdk, try to get admission in Memorial university, university of Manitoba or university of Victoria.

Well college rejection is due to courses selection. It is really depens on your domain. Some colleges are offering courses which are not available in university and these are exactly related to previous education and experiences in that case student get visa at college level as well. So keep in mind ur selection must b relevant to previous domain or experience !!!

well my older sister completed ACCA and is now registering for the Business administration Accounting Degree in Sheridan College.

And my little sister is doing AS level and registering for the same course.......she is also in accounting

what do u mean by domain?

I live in downtown Toronto and they will be living with me............univerisities here are damn expensive.......that's why we are going for the college............how sure are that college applicants get rejection all the time?

I do not feel that there is a hard and fast rule that applicants to colleges are rejected only universities are accepted. Each case is different. Say, if you are not looking for a research focused career and want to learn only a specific skill set which shall uplift your previous experience, then colleges are good.

So, course selection plays an important part.

CHC dehli is giving visas to college applicants but Islamabad is not giving visas

then how did my friend got it from Islamabad?

And how did this person got it? http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pakistan-anyone-going-to-humber-college-on-jan-2014-t172699.0.html

The main task would be convincing visa office with the ties and level of establishment in their residence country. By mentioning you (sibling - living in Canada) in family information would create a doubt in officer's mind..
There is no harm in applying. The rest is luck..

Just my view!!!

it all depends on your profile whether or not you will get the visa, yes they do delay college applicants process but saying they don't issue visas to college applicant is so not true. If ur gonna go for underrated colleges like lsbf e.t.c then obv your chances of visa will drop down. So my suggestion is to go for well reputed colleges like GBC, humber, Seneca e.t.c to improve your visa chances.
