Hello, I'm a silent spectator in this forum for sometime. I need some help. My ECA status is ON HOLD since September 12th. WES received my documents on 20th September and UG degree has been validated awaiting for PG degree validation. Does anyone face any issue in getting validation from Annamalai University? Please guide if anyone faced similar situation.

When I called university they said, they didn't received any communication. I called WES they said an email has been sent and we can't disclose the email address. Not sure whether it is sent or university guys not responded. Annamalai University using GMAIL account for their email communication. Would it be a concern. But not there o

Thanks. I will also try contacting my university then.It was put on hold on 17th Sep. I waited for few days and contacted the university. But they hadn’t received any mail from WES then. Last Monday I again checked with the university and they said they had replied to WES already. WES didn’t change the status till last eve and I sent them a mail stating that the university had already replied. Within hours, the status changed.

Need your kind help! My ECA was supposed to be completed by Sept 28, 2018. However I got an email from WES on Sept 26 saying that my profile is "On Hold" and that they have sent my documents both electronically and postal mail to my universities- "MDU, Rohtak" and "Kurukshetra University" , for verification..
Yesterday (Sept27) I visited MDU, Rohtak and requested the guys there to search for any email from WES for documents verification. Initially they asked me if I have the "10 digit reference number". When I told them that I don't have this number they asked me my full name. And after some moments told me that there is no email. I am not sure if they put any serious efforts in searching the email OR whether any email was actually sent by WES. I am not even sure if the documents sent by post by WES will ever reach the right place in university.
Could one of you please suggest on below queries:
1) Am I supposed to be knowing the 10-digit reference number that's present in email from WES to the university while doing verification? Is there any way where I can get it?
2) Is the 10-digit reference number similar to the reference number that we get when we register on WES?
3) As you have also faced similar situations in past, could you please advise on how I should proceed to sail thru this traumatic and bad experience induced by WES?
I shall be grateful to you for your responses. Please help.

No.. It's a unique reference number that WES sends to universities and institutions. The university must responds to the authenticity of the documents and also mention this 10 digit reference number. If they don't do so, WES will send back the documents to verify again with the reference number. This reference number is usually not disclosed to the candidate as WES just send it to the university. However, WES application reference number might be used to trace your verification email from WES.I assume, 10 digit reference number is nothing but Registration number which you can find in your Degree certificate or Mark Sheet.

Just check with the university by Monday and see if they’ve got the mail. WES doesn’t immediately send the email to the university after changing the status to ‘ON HOLD’. Same thing happened to me last week. It took 4,5 days for the university to receive the mail from WES.
I guess your university is asking your student registration number and not the WES ref number. WES reference number is a 7 digit number. Check your degree certificate. It will have your register number. See if it has 10 digits. Then, that’s the one your university is asking.

Yes. That’s what they asked me too. They ask this because they keep a track of verification mails. So when we provide them with our registration number, they can find if WES or any other evaluation agency has sent them any verification mail.Ok thanks, when I spoke to my University they asked for registration number

When I requested university guys to see if they got any email from WES ..they explicitly asked me for the 10 digit reference number that's always present in email from WES. They said they need this to search on Gmail! Then they searched using my full name and said that there is no email from WES.
As you suggested buddy, I will check with the university on Monday.

Hiii, Need help to apply ECA from ICES....Kindly share the process in detail.ICES took 6 weeks for mine. Not sure abt IQAS.
@Vikas_Har....you will not know the 10-digit reference number as it is confidential between the university and WES and WES will not declare you about it. First ensure that the university is checking in the appropriate mailbox ID. If still the university is not able to trace the mail...get the mail ID from them and then call up WES Customer care Canadian time morning 9.30 they start functioning and give the mail ID in which the mail needs to triggered and ask them to re-trigger. They will review the mail ID which you gave and re-trigger, simultaneously you will get a get a notification on it once done.Then get in touch with the university asap and ask them to review and respond accordingly.
