o it's ok, let's change topics again having seen that you take it in such a funny way. I changed the topic to Ok because i thought that you were not ready to "vent"(as you say) against this immigration system that is unjust. DOT

Canada is a huge and beautiful civilized tolerant and openminded and so far my opinion has always been very very good. everything to me seemed to work in a very nice, smooth, reliable and INTELLIGENT way.We are talking about processing times here : 2 days to get a birth certificate, 5 days to get a passport(for my daughter), 2 weeks for inserting a marriage certificate 3 days to get a copy of an act. at least in the quebec province, at provincial and at federal level things seem to work very well. so at first it seemed weird to me that for immigrating in the family class, being married with a canadian citizen and having a canadian daughter THE FATHER OF THE CANADIAN FAMILY MUST WAIT FOR YEARS BEFORE GETTING A WORK PERMIT?. I lived in countries where bureaucracy is rampant and slows everything and that'S the usually the big cause of a failure of a country. Until now the impression i had was that Canada was much more straightforward, flexible, pragmatic country and i still think it is.

But from all the posts i have read in this forum i sense tension, it'S like we have to walk on eggshells. a single small omission in an application will cause a refusal and you will have to wait in line for months if not years. Should we live like that? an Immigration officer has really the power of destroying your life?. I have read posts in this forum of abuses of powers and voices of despair. I'm sure that there are people who enter the country with the intention of screwing the system and the citizens but most of us are genuinely in a relation and are just willing to make our life easier for us and our loved ones(CANADIAN CITIZENS)

Im not the manager of CIC but i have the impression that yes, they have to employ more people or if they don't want to employ more it is better if they find a way to speed up the process

So far, Everytime i have requesteed a paper, form, publicity or whatever from the canadian governmentt , three days later it's in the mailbox. In no other country in the world except a few this happens. They send you tax return checks at the end of the month, money back right away if you overpaid your taxes!!!That looks lke the most honest and fast, no questions asked, reliable system in the world . letters of acknoledgment of receipt? two days later they call you from whatever office telling you that they received your papers.

So my question is
WHY DOES THIS NOT HAPPEN WITH IMMIGRATION?

somebody in this forum said that it has to do with the number of applications submitted.....maybe.....

400.000 applications a year? well you have to employ more people!!!!!I'm sorry but thats the way to go if you still want to use paper applications and ask us to be perfect(ROBOT LIKE) in the form filling. if we make a mistake at least we will know after 2 weeks and not after 2 years.....NO?

I had enough of bureaucracy,This is the third country i have lived in and i am not new to immigration.

You know that in this world of technology very soon papers are going to disappear?,in the near future everything will be submitted online(probably even digital prints) and for that matter i had put a post the other day on this forum where i was asking if anybody had seen that on the CIC website they were accepting applications online for work permits(for in Canada applications). It applied also for spouses of canadian citizens and it didn't talk about first stage of approval. I dont know maybe it would be too easy or unreal maybe i didn't read the rules well on their website...anyway nobody answered to that post so i will call CIC these days to ask them if that is true. if it'S true then i will let you know.
I finish my post saying that the reason why i got angry is because i love Canada and i don't want to see application processing times or officers abuses typical of third world countries being applied to this beautiful incredible tolerant humanly open like Canada

VIVE LE CANADA. UP WITH CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.s. This is a free country,am i allowed to say what i want? Politicians fight in parliament and i cannot even "vent"(as you say) about injustices that i see? to get better results you have to do something you cannot just accept anything otherwise there is no growth

You ABSOLUTELY are allowed to vent your anger - at the appropriate people... You gave your "kiss off " speech to the forum, not to CIC. ANd then you deleted it and hide behind a completely different post.

We were 'miffed" at your misplaced anger at the thread... we have nothing to do with how long any processing takes. You didnt vent about injustices... you made odd random statements that made no sense in the context that they were given. It is one thing to complain about the time that it takes to process an application, and it is another to say that this forum is FU*&*^&^. In this forum we readily accept craziness, insanity and stress... but you took out your frustration on the innocent posters here... and made yourself look like and Ass,,, and then you deleted to pretend it never happened.. shame on you. if you have some convictions... stand behind them. THAT we respect. - let the negative karma ensue. Are you

As for not being ready to vent... we are always ready to vent... this is a long process and we vent all the time... but we dont do a 180 degree turn towards its our fault that things suck.

Some of us have been on this forum for a long time and are more than ready to "vent" against an immigration system that is unjust.... but we also see the reasoning behind some of it and accept it.

My advise.... good or bad.... is to take a deep breath, count to ten,... write the nasty post ,and then delete it... if you are smart enough to recognize when you are insane. and delete it.. then you will do just fine.

I didn't say F&%@$ to the forum, i never did, i said that word but it wasn't directed to the forum, i said i was not coming back to the forum and then i said the word because i was angry about the system(calling it a real shame) but i never said that word directed to the forum or the users. I'm sorry that you or other people understood it wrongly but to tell you the truth at this point i don't really care what you think at the end....your way of talking to me is like of an angry old teacher, so unfriendly, you dare to say shame on me....SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!who do you think you are?????????

Well this place is the place to be and if you dont take care might say the wrong thing to the people in here, some people are very angry and bitter so the slightest thing you say might be taken out of context.

We should try and curtail our anger when we come to the forum.

This forum as far as i understand is for asking and answering question, and also at times for venting at the system, ie IO CIC.

Can you forget this happened today and move on.

Heaterusa and Luca can we just forget and move on?

good luck

You know what Jillandmat you are very offensive, you don't even know me and you dare to give these opinions just because you are covered by the forum privacy.I,m not psychotic, bipolar, or drunk or high. i may suggest (not knowing you) that you could well be one person in these conditions. i was just giving an angry note on the immigration system and i said a F word in the air(does it ever happen to you?).then i explained my view on the immigration system in an another post(also telling how efficient, reliable and just i find Canada at all other government levels). another user told me that i have to be "ashamed of what i had done" and her post was very bitter towards me so i replied just telling her who do you think you are? that's it. That's the least that i could say. Thanks kwabena kwabena for your post
don't worry i will not post anything else on this subject

the user Dayanara too was offensive without even saying the words, just quoting. Heatherusa would use the phrase "Shame on you"

WTF?

Late in again on this one but very entertaining to say the least.

Anger only really has an affect on the person feeling the anger - the rest of us can go on with normality.

And my two cents; if you don't like the bureaucracy of a particular country then perhaps one should question why on earth you would choose that country. It gets worse when you have to adjust, whether it be culturally, getting a driving licence, waiting for the PR card, getting a SIN - all things that have some level of difficulty for different people, and then there's realizing that your credentials are not worth what they were in your home country and you gotta start at the bottom.... But even with all of that, I personally wouldn't want to be in any other place. Hmm on a small island the size of BC with 68 million people or in BC with a population of London? ... no brainer. Was able to exhale without bumping into someone for the first time in years!!!!

I also think that it is worth waiting for immigrating to Canada. As i said in the post I consider this country(Canada) a very beautiful place to live in. I was just surprised and angry at how the immigration process works compared to all other government offices in this country(they work really fast, efficiently, and with flexiblilty by experience). my opinion was not made by a personal experience with CIC. my opinion was created by all the posts that i have read in this forum. i hope my experience with CIC will be a good one and then i will let you know. but for now all these posts are making me dubious about the efficiency of the immigration process. That's it!

HMMM did you ever think that they only allow so many in a year?In Brampton alone they are running out of housing fast, they cant build them fast enough for the immigrants coming in.Do you think that immigration is not told to refuse some, refuse more?
My aunt works for the city of Brampton in the housing sector, naming streets, infrastucture. When she was over last week she was just saying in a conversation, they cant keep up with the infrastructure. They cant build enough homes.Bell,Rogers,Hydro one,They all cant keep up.So they put family class first(spousal and dependant children).
If a city holds 600000 people and its to capacity for the housing how do you stick another 60000 in that area, immposible,so how do you think they control this.REFUSALS and long process times for people that are not spousal.
Not including the already Canadians marrying having a family and trying to get a home.Condo buildings sell out a year before they are even started to build.Where would you like to put everyone.
So because they dont get to you fast enough because they are required to slow down processing due to over crowding, what would you like them to do????The land they are buying up around here is farm land and farmers dont want to give it up or they have crops on so they cant sell for another year anyway,so where do we build homes,on top of eachother?
Most spousal apps go quickly, they need to because it is a spouse, parents no,JUST MY OPINNION

The problem is that I thought you were directing your frustration towards the forum, not to the situations that are posted on the forum. Sometimes I think (and maybe it's just to make myself feel better) that those who have a particularly rough time or difficult case are the ones more likely to seek out this forum and/or post here. There are countless others who's cases are processed within the minimum time frame with no additional stresses who don't need a forum like this, or are just lurking.

I understand your frustration (truly, I do!) and also think you were treated a bit unfairly in this thread.
