We want to write a letter to our MP

We want to draw up a letter to our MP regarding the lengthy process (going into the 31st month since we submitted app) of my DH's inland application.

What type of information should we include in the letter?

Call them, that is faster.

I called my MP's office and assistance called me back right away and asked me all info she need.
she got me back few days later with update of my file.(outland)


did you call CIC?
they might answer your question for inland app.

hi, I am in a similar situation... abut to kill my self for the 24 month waiting time.. i have new born baby too... tried to write to the visa officer and there is not reply ( as they stated in their email that they wont respnse to any communitation from the applicant or sponsor)... can any one please tell me if writting to the MP or Minister could help to a faster interview date?

It will not get you thru faster, they may just be able to explain to you the process of it and where you stand in regards to the process. They cannot make it go thru faster.

But the MP will have a direct line (email address or phone number) to CIC...which can only help! I had to get our MP involved for something and they managed to get a response from CIC within a few days.

Absolutely. They do have a special line to call, however my MP only told me the same information I already knew. That I have to wait. That was basically it. So, yes they definitely have the link to call, but wont make it faster

You talk to the mp in person instead of sending an email. My husband went to the mp last week of august .The mp asked for the sponsor and applicant' infos like the name, UCI and bday.After few days, she gave us some updates regarding our application.September 5, my ecas changed to In process.. now we are just waiting for decision made

Not much good news when it comes to immigration matter does it? it can be extreemly frustating and heartbreaking when you have little baby living apart.
