Background check on our application has changed to "In Progress".

How far is DM status after this stage in your experience?

Thank you.

that's real quick! (you're ahead of us in your timeline) good luck (fingers crossed!)

Hi All, I need some help if anyone knows the answer.

We received our Passport request email today. We need to send my wife's passport to the Moscow,Russia CVAC. We have previously paid our application fee and RPRF at the time we sent our application. For sending the passport to CVAC it shows the prices required to pay for this service (which I understand) and then it links to IRCC for payment of other fees related to this visa. As per CVAC website "Pay visa fees and biometric fee, if required, as per instructions in the IRCC website. Please note that when submitting application via the CVAC, in person or by mail, visa fees must be paid in addition to CVAC service charge"
My question is what what visa fee (there are no instructions at the link) is there and how do I find the correct one? or is this just the payments we have already made?

Thanks,

We will be using vfsglobal also. CVAC (canada visa application centre) of which vfaglobal is the specific company, and whose information is above.

My wife phoned them and it seemed to go okay. She gets easily confused so it should work out. Sorry I can't answer directly how much

I got my passport request today too! It took exactly 15 days since my background check changed. I got my learners driver's licence right away :)

Congratulations! :)

No update for me yet, am getting impatient! :( And I hope all is well! Noticed one or two people who applied after us (us Oct 7th, them 28th or something) are already getting DMs! (happy for you guys, of course), so the wait is beginning to get to me! Keep your fingers crossed, guys! (our application was pretty thick, I wanted to send max evidence possible, I wonder if that's the reason?)

Hi guys , I have a question, I just recently got approved for my PR application and have submitted my passport already, currently I'm in Canada waiting for my passport and once I get it I will go to the border and land, as far as I understood after that they will automatically issue my PR card and I'll have to wait for it within Canada for approximately 2 months. My question is me and my wife need to travel outside Canada for couple weeks to Europe in April, how long does it take to get the travel authorization and if it's safe to return with it and my second question is how long did it took you to get ur PR card since u land?
Thank you

Travel authorization takes usually 2 weeks from memory.

We landed June 2nd 2016 and got our PR card in the mail at the end of July 2016 :)

I received my COPR yesterday. :) Going to land in a few weeks. Can't wait!

Congrats everybody, Warsaw is really working fast now. We got our COPR on February 16th, landing next week. :D

Hello Everyone.

We submitted our application on November 15th.
Today, February 22nd, we got a request for additional information on proof of sponsors intent to return to Canada.
I am sending them a response tomorrow, February 23rd.

I have a large list of things I am sending in order to suffice their request :

Quote from letter I am sending :
I have attached the following documents/information with this package:
1. Scanned copy of my Alberta Identification/Driver’s License (residence proof)
2. Scanned copy of my Alberta HealthCare Card
3. Letter from me
4. Letter from my parents residing in Edmonton, Canada
5. Letter from my grandparents residing in Edmonton, Canada
6. Registration and proof of ownership of vehicle I own in Edmonton, Canada
7. Screenshot of my college courses for the 2015/2016 years (education proof)
8. Screenshot of my E-letters from my college
9. Screenshot of emails with my college from June 2016
10. Screenshot of my bank account
11. Screenshots of Facebook and Google Hangouts messages from friends and family talking about my long awaited return
12. Screenshots of my husband’s ESL program he wishes to take upon arrival
13. Screenshots of my husband’s Mechanical Engineering program he wishes to take after ESL courses
14. This letter from me describing our plans upon arrival

Does this seem like enough ?
And does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes after they recieve these documents ?
Just approximate time or any idea at all of what is happening after I send these? What are the next steps ?
Please help !

Also, sorry to bother everyone with another question, just wondering how long it takes after backgrond check goes to in progress ?
Mine changed today !!!! :D ;D :D :D :D :o :P :o ;D :D

Yes it looks like enough and it is hard to say how long after your background check changes. Usually not long.
