Just a tip. Make sure you go back to when your spouse was 18 not the 10 years they ask for. Warsaw asked for an update on our form but they do not tell you why. This was the only thing we could think of. They asked for this despite having a translated workbook which tells them the same information. We have to follow the directions and read minds.

Hi Sous02,

Are you referring here to form 5669 (Schedule A - Background/Declaration), paragraph 8 (Personal History)?
It reads "Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent".
I guess we too might be getting a request for additional info from Warsaw at some point, 'cause we filled it out exactly as per the instructions.
That makes me wonder if we should wait for their request, or just go ahead and submit additional info dating back to 18 years of age.
Also, since the file has already been transfered, is it correct to assume that any extra documents would have to be mailed directly to Warsaw?

Yes that is what I am referring to. I would go ahead as it can only help. If they do not want it it will still at least be there. Yes. We couriered direct to Warsaw and they were quick the first time updating the changes.

Thanks for confirming.
Just curious, - how soon after your file got transferred did they request the extra info?

Gotchya. So, that would be roughly November for us then.

we got email stating that cic wants more proof that my husband wants to settle back in canada as he moved to UK with his parents since he was like 2 years old and have been here since then so 28 years and looks like they dont believe he wants to move there genuinely :(

I am really upset as we have now 3 weeks to find out and send off some proof but we obviously dont have bank accounts insurance or job or lease, so not sure what proof more we can give :(

I am starting to think they will reject us just because obviously we cant give any more proof and for instance rent now while we not there yet and want to move in like 2 years or so...
help!

Don't give up. Imagine you are telling a friend and you were trying to convince them. What would you say and show. Has he looked for work etc

that doesnt seem to be as enough proof, we did sent removal companies quotes, quotes for moving our cat with us and also letter from my partner employer stating he will work remotely and have a job there already (which is not the case anymore) but that still wasnt enough:/

So your partner is quitting his job or will relocate and still be with the same company? I guess if he is quitting, he could write up a description of how he has looked for a job, the companies in his line of work, how easy it is to get a job with his experience etc.

originally he was going to relocate and work remotely for the same UK company but the plane has changed nowand this is no longer option so we both will be quitting and looking for jobs there.

when we were applying that was still the case that he will stay with the company and work remotely but as it turns out even letter from his employer stating this wasnt enough proof to relocate :'( ???

They want assurance that you are not getting a pr for tourist purposes. Try to look at it from their point of view. Why are you moving to Canada? Not me asking it is their question

Just received our GCMS notes where they record their observations of the relationship. I Think what is most interesting is what they do not talk about. Anything that is subjective like letters from us. They only deal with facts. Dates, emails, financial relationship, past marriages and trips. In the end they ask for more court information for my step son which I understand and then a request for personal information back until age 18. Given they talk about having the workbook a bit of overkill.
The notes are up top Sept 1
Another note for those that have wondered about changing your names. It was very quick for CIC to update and they did talk about it in the relationship review.
