That's great! Oh one more question about landing... Did u submit b4 form? About goods to follow and arrived with u?

I didn't have a b4 form, just 2 lists typed on my computer (and no goods to follow).

The customs officer asked if I had any goods to follow so I said no. He didn't ask about the accompanying goods and didn't want to see the list.

The immigration officer didn't even mention any list.

Oh that's great! Thank u to ease my mind, I'm not bringing anything with me when I will land, everything is already here, so I was wondering how necessary is that form...

Thanks! Hope you will get ur undate ASAP! But I have done doubts about Tuesday :) seems like mine never was updated on Tuesday... Mostly Saturdays actually... Weird a?

Thank you, I hope so too! There was some action today (Tuesday) on eCAS for me, they updated my timeline (added: 'We started processing your application on June 25th' Thanks guys. Why did it take you 2 months to update my profile? I was worried that my application was at the bottom of the ocean!)
Last week it was Thursday and Friday when the majority of us got our passport requests... so you're right, they can contact us anytime.
Anyways. I believe a lot of us can identify with this cat (refreshing mail& eCAS constantly)

Hello everyone,

I am having some issues and I hope someone can help me out.

I have now been waiting 70 days for my sponsorship approval.(website days 55 days) My application was received July 22nd and I got my AOR on August 20.

I've tried calling 3 times to call the call centre so far. The first time I was before the date on the website so the agent wouldn't do anything for me. Second time she said she was sending it for 'escalation' and I should hear back relatively soon. Last time I tried to call for an update, they told me there was nothing they could do for me and I may be waiting for up to 90 days.

I am extremely surprised that my application is taking so long for SA, given that they have not requested any documents, and our case is not so complex (no children, no divorces, no previous sponsorships, no criminal history)

Is there anything I can do at this point?? I just really want the file to be sent to Warsaw to move on to the next stage... My life is literally on hold because of this..

Dear jcallahan,

You're doing the outland process, yes? We are all anxious to get answers about our applications, so I understand your impatience. Especially those of us who put their life on hold and need this thing to come through in order to continue with life, work, studying, etc.
1. According to CIC's website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp they're working on applications received on July 28th. Yours was received on July 22nd. That is a difference of 6 working days. Look at our Warsaw VO spreadsheet, regardless of what CIC's website says I believe those timelines to be more realistic. You are not the only person that had to wait for SA longer than the official time posted on the CIC's website.

2. I tried calling CIC few times and never got answers I was looking for. They only referred me to their website. Depending on the agent I spoke to, some did it in a kind, compassionate manner and others were plain rude. None of them helped me in the ways I needed them to. So, I stopped calling and I suggest you do the same :-)

3. They might have already approved your sponsor, but for unknown reasons suck at communicating this fact to you. Sometimes it takes them weeks to send e-mails/ update eCAS. Oh, and SA e-mail is going to be sent to your sponsor, not you. Check junk mail, just in case. This is where I found mine (+add this e-mail to your contacts)
Your sponsor has a separate eCAS account from yours, so if you want to see SA you need to use his UCI #. You can find his identification number on AOR that you received on August 20th.

4. I was freaking out for the past few months, because I have heard nothing from CIC since my SA on July 10th. Apparently my application arrived in Warsaw on June 26th... But I got this info only a week ago (that is 100+ days without any communication whatsoever)

5. I send you virtual hugs and wish you patience and peace of mind. :) Because all you can do now is wait, and waiting sucks.

A quick update: a week ago i got email from embassy asking for my a copy of all of the pages of my passport and i've sent it right away. Today I got another email from embassy, asking to sent them my passport by mail (or a copy of all of the pages if I'm from visa exempt country - I'm Polish) plus 2 pictures. I could bring it in person to warsaw embassy, however they mentioned another option: If you are currently in Canada (and that's correct in my case) I could send it to CPC in Ottawa, together with return envelope. It was an urgent email as my medical expires in the beginning of November.

So, I've sent those documents to Ottawa.
I was surprised by this request as usually after sending scan of passport via email people are getting COPR. But it didn't happen in my case. Maybe because I have to land before November, they gave me an option of getting COPR from Ottawa, or maybe beacuse I'm already in Canada... I'm not sure :)

Anyway, these are my thoughts. How about yours? Is there anyone from visa exempt country, living in Canada during sponsorship process?

Thank you Sziha for your update! I am in the very same situation as you are (Polish citizen, applying outland while staying in Canada). I also got a passport request a week ago (24th September) and sent passport scans in PDF format (6 AM on 25th September) to the e-mail provided.
The difference is my medical expired mid-September, so it puts me in a vulnerable position- but so far I got no instructions as to whether I should do a re-medical (fingers crossed)
I was also under impression that passport pages submitted by email= issuing of COPR straight away. Shows how much procedures change! I will keep you updated if I am instructed to send copies of all passport pages to Ottawa.
Hei Long, who also sent her passport to CPC-Ottawa, got her Decision Made on eCAS a day after they received her passport, so I imagine the process would be just as fast for you as well. You (almost) made it! Congrats :)

Hi Sziha, I'm not from visa exempt country, but I'm also in Canada now and I have send them my passport on Friday morning, but they received it only on Monday, meanwhile I got a decision made in ecas on Saturday... Also I never been asked to submit passport copies ( I submitted it with original application at the end of May, I suspect it was quite fresh in their opinion, even though meanwhile I got USA visa and entered canada on TRV I had for an almost year already)... So I guess it's all depends on personal circumstances :) when do u think we ll get our passports back? I can't find any info on cpc-o regarding our circumstances :( oh and they request to enclose 2 prepaid letter sized envelopes... One is for passport and another one?corp?
Cheers! Fingers cross our landing will be before thanksgiving :)

Oh yeah forgot to mention I still have plenty of time on my medical - done it at the end of March

Oh sziha, sorry but what do u mean u can bring it in person to warsaw embassy if you are in Canada? Or do u plan to travel home soon?

I think Sziha meant that she got 2 options in her e-mail from CIC:
1. Bring her passport+2 photos to the Canadian Embassy in Warsaw
2. Send copies of her passport to CPC- Ottawa, in case she was currently in Canada (that's the option she chose)

Wow. From what I see, everybody is in a different situation.
We were asked for copies of passport plus proof of my wife looking for jobs/apartments ect. I am Polish, living in Poland with my Canadian wife. I think that we will send our documents by mail on Monday. Will keep you guys updated.

PS. We keep searching for condos and sending emails threw kijiji.ca, condos.ca and directly to real estate companies but nobody replies and we have no idea why. Do you guys have any experience with looking for condos in Toronto while being overseas or any experience in general, applying threw these websites?

It's 4:30am... and can't no longer sleep. We got the PPR request.... finallllllyyyyyy!!! So close to the end line. I hope everyone who is waiting to get them today or tomorrow, also get the good news so we can all celebrate :) ;) :D ;D

Finally got SA, my file is on it's way to Warsaw :)
