Good evening everyone,

I need some assistance in regards to my wife's spousal sponsorship that I am currently completing.

she is a Syrian Citizen that also got her Armenian Citizen back in April, right before we had our civil wedding. we then got married in church in October.
she also has the Qatari PR as a work permit.


anyways she studied in Moscow Russia for many years and went to Armenia back in august until November. she then was in Qatar from November to end of January.

my question concerns the Original Police Certificate.


she already got the police report from Syria. does she need to get her police report from Russia as well? in Moscow, she had a temporary student visa. she is now in Syria, would it be possible to get that report from the embassy in Damascus? also would it be possible for the embassy in Damascus to send it to Ottawa considering that there is no postal services within Syria now due to the war?

another thing, will she need to also provide the original police report from Armenia and Qatar as well? In the forms it says more then 6 months residing in any country... just to be sure.

That's exactly what it says, from every country she lived for more than 6 montgs she will need a police certificate, so Russian as well.

I got Passport request 12.02.2016 by Canadian time , here it was already 13.02.2016!!! Just 12 days after RPRF, I beat my husband`s record (he got his after 18 days)
The most funny thing that I was checking the mail on phone all the day yesterday, then at night it just died, was not responding any how, got black, was not taking any charge :/...So I said to myself, sleep, you will see what to do at morning. In the morning I turned on Laptop and checked mail on it and found that wonderful news ! And by magic my phone started to work just at that time!
One more good news for me, as I`m now in India, I will not have to send my passport to Warsaw, they instructed me to send it to New Delhi, using VFS service, one more lucky thing for me, cause I was worried about sending my passport over the border...

Hello, everyone!

Just received my CORP letter!!! There is ust one thing that is worrying me:

My CORP letter says that the destination province and city is SK, Regina. My husband (the sponsor) by the end of this month will be relocated by his employer to AB, Lethbridge. So the destination province and city will be different from that on the CORP letter of mine. I am a little concerned. I already emailed the Warsaw Office. He thought that he would stay at his old location until April. But his employer decided to shut the store down earlier.
Did anybody face anything like this? Would that be a problem?

The good thing is, things are moving fast for you. The interview isn't a bad sign right away. Maybe there is some stuff they need to clarify. As long as you can confidently answer all their questions, you should be fine. Maybe there are users that went to interviews and can tell you more about it.
Do you know what could be a reason for this?

I have no idea why they want an interview from me. I thought we provided enough informations. I guess not.
Maybe someone who had similar experiences will offer me some advice.
I am just super afraid of this word "Interview"

Well, we met on the Internet, but I don't think it is a red flag these days.
The only red flag is that it is my second marriage, but I don't think I am any different that other people. We lived together 6 months before we got married and then applied for PR 5 months after the marriage and still living together (I am on my visitor status here). The age difference is 7 years, so it is not big compared to others. We provided in my opinion enough evidence, but I guess it was not enough. It is first marriage to my husband and we don't have any kids from previous relationships.
I am just curious does anyone else have the experience with attending interview in Warsaw? What to expect?
As I said, I am quite nervous because this interview came so quickly and in my head it seems it's a bad sign.

How long did you know each other/visit each other before you came to Canada to live(visit permanently) here?

No, I didn't. I won't be able to get my notes before leaving and maybe it is for better. At least I won't worry about extra stuff. I will just address all issues on the interview.

They asked for additional proof of outgoing communication (we live together, so that's something harder to collect), my original marriage certificate and original police record from my home country once again. So I guess these are issues anyway, they don't think my relationship is genuine, so I will need to prove them in the interview. I am just afraid to choke and forget the birth date of my husband from stress

Anyway, thank you all for your support. I hope it will go well and this is just me stressing more than I should.
