I am curious about one thing - does the whole process happen online, like with other CIC applications, or does it require paper copies of everything and snail mail?

The whole package is sent to Mississauga first. You need to include some original documents, so everything is either mailed or couriered.

It took 14 months,cause first my case was in Moscow(2 months),then it transferred to Warsaw VO.There it took 9 months.I count 14 months my whole process.
First we sent my original package with original documents to Mississauga.Then in the VO it went online.When I was requested to redo my medical,to send copies of all the pages of my passport and to pay RPRF,we send them online.We got all the letters from the VO through email.
I am from visa-required country,and I should send my passport for visa stamping.I will get my passport back with COPR through courier.
But if u r from visa-exempt country,I guess u will get the COPR by mail

Ppl,,finally I got my PPR yesterday yaay ;D ,FINALLY, ,my long-wait (total 14 months) is about to be over,,my doubts,my stress are over.It was 3 am at night,when my hubby called and told that we got my PPR.Then I could not sleep from happiness lol What a big relief,,I am extremely happy

I submitted(sent)my passport through the IOM office (VFS Global) today.
In the email requesting the passport are all the details where and how to submit the passport.
It is through the IOM office in Armenia.They send it to Moscow and recieve it back with visa and COPR.

ok, so we first send hard copies to Mississauga, but we make electronic copies and they let us know when we can put things online? what about the fees and the online application, do we start it and pay online, or we pay otherwise and they tell us when to start the online profile?

and one more question, I live in Canada, but will be applying outland (and I need to maintain status, right) - can I leave Canada, say, to see my family, or is it not advised before I get my PR?

I just received PPR this morning still can't believe this! I was totally prepared to wait another 2-3 months. I got AOR2 in the middle of February, that means it took nearly 4 months to get PPR for me. I hope it will be quick now
Does it usually take 3 weeks to get CORP? I'm so excited!

I guess it would depend how far your passport has to travel. My wife sent hers from Siberia and had it back, stamped and with COPR, in 2 weeks exactly. Visa is valid as long as your current medical is valid.

If the applicant is from visa exempt country, the only thing that has to be done is to pick up the COPR from embassy or have it delivered by the courier. The passport can be scanned and sent by email, as they just need to look at it.

Hello,

I will be joining you soon. I am marrying Canadian this month and then we will apply for PR trough embassy. Even though I am staying in Canada with him now, we decided to go outland, as it's much shorter than inland. My question is, my husband is from Quebec, so I know rules are a bit different. Do I need to do some extra steps because of that or is procedure the same, I just send outland application?

I'm from the visa exempt country so fortunately I don't have to send my passport anywhere. I'm in Toronto now and funny thing is in two days I'm flying to Warsaw for over 2 weeks, so I guess I have a big chance to pick the COPR by myself right? From what I understand Warsaw VO doesn't send CORP by mail only pick up/courier option is that right?
