I am the earliest lander left out without the card, I guess! Agent told that they can't comment on when will I get the card even though the photos were delivered to them 2 days back.

Helplessness!

All,
I am planning to permanently move to Toronto, Canada in mid-June or early july-16 from India, would take flight from Mumbai or Blore. I have not yet booked my flight tickets. The plan is to move alone, find job, get settled and then bring in my family. If anyone is in similar situation please message me and we could take it forward. The idea is to share accommodation and other bills during initial days so that our survival funds could last longer. Cheesy

I am currently working in Bangalore. so if anyone is from Bangalore, we could meet.

My first post on the topic to share the good news, even though I've been lurking for a while.

We landed on December 1, 2015 at Niagara Falls (by car) and received our permanent resident cards today: myself, my wife, my son. The wait time was... wait for it... 73 days, exactly what the CIC website says  Either a coincidence, or they're really really meticulous about processing time.

Anyway, good luck to everyone who's still waiting. The feeling at the end will be very much worth it!

Its actually worse than that. I landed 28th August. Got letter asking new photos 5th October. Sent them 7th October and still nothing, Cic helpline are most unhelpful saying they no idea when i ll get card as there no timeline whatsoever for this situation.
SO True , I got off the call with CIC agent and they say there is NO processing time limit for resubmitted photos , my god , there is no way to track . you are all on ur luck boy .

And there is something very important I was told by cic. " Please be patient" I am smiling and crying at the same time.

Consider taking your family with you , and then sending them back after 1 week's stay in Canada . this way you will not have to worry for their initial landing later and you have more bandwidth . calling family over in winter would not be a very good idea.
