Consider taking your family with you , and then sending them back after 1 week's stay in Canada . this way you will not have to worry for their initial landing later and you have more bandwidth . calling family over in winter would not be a very good idea.

Not really , i came with only 5200 CAD on first landing. they only ask you how much money you are bringing , i dont think they check it. Hope it helps.

Did anyone recieved the mail/envelope from CIC , if yes , send your photos to that guy and ask him to courier it to NS Sydney , else send it via a courier from outside canada , mention your all details , client id , file number etc , and it should work well as well
