i was trying to check with uci no..it was showing nthin

After few month of PR issuance, ECAS is not accessible

hi frinds....my wife landed on jul 28 2015 and become p.r.
now when were waiting for her pr card we got a letter from cic stating that the we have to snt her pics again for pr card...as they specifications are nt ok for previous one...now it been almost 40 days cic receivd our phtographs..bt there is no further info..wht should we do...we r going to back home in dec.

you should have file it urgent with tickets copies, and reason to move out of canda

ECAS should work. It is still working for me(i landed on Aug26)

I am checking with Application No.

If it is UCI, make sure you added iphon(-) after 4 digit NNNN-NNNN

I also could not access my ecas after landing but now it's working fine. Just send an email to Question@cic.gc.ca and put Urgent in the subject box.

I landed on October 7 and waiting.

Slightly worried as I have a flight booked back home on December 15. I only landed prior to going back as the CIC agent suggested to as processing times had been reduced and my relationship status would be different and cause problems.

The border official said if you speak to your airline and advise them of the situation and get approval to fly you don't need the travel document, but not so sure about that.

No access to my ECAs anymore either, tried all different ways to login. Not really sure what kind of update they would put on there anyway, not sure if it says dispatched card.

I got immigration news that they are redesining the permanent resident cards with chip with new photograph specifications . I don't know know how much time this will take .

Oh, interesting! If the delay means that we get the new card with a chip, I'm actually kind of OK with that. Sounds like it will make border crossings more convenient.

It would suck if this caused a whole bunch of delays but we still got the old style cards. :/

Thanks for this, but a little worried as it states new photo specifications which means if they haven't already asked for a new photo you either aren't getting a new one or they haven't even started looking at issuing your card?

Oh, wow good point. Might be worth calling them and asking if it's a good idea to preemptively send in new photos.

Here are the photo specs posted on the CIC website. There's no date on the document though - does anyone have a printout of an older version that can let us know if the details have been changed now?
