Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

In the name of timeline sharing ...
I called today CIC to ask about the status of my new PR card. and I've been told that the card has been mailed today!

Landed: June 4th, 2015
PR Card Mailed: August 27th, 2015

Days in total: 84 Days.

Hopefully Canada Post will deliver the card in reasonable time to the given address ...

I received my card today - I landed on May 25th. Couldn't have been better timing because I'm flying internationally tonight! Was planning to wing it with my CoPR again. Good luck to everyone else!

Just to share,
I landed on 5th june. Called cic today, agent was nice, our conversation was point to point. She opened my file asking me some sec questions,
Well the card status is into processing. They didnt send it to production yet. She said i should expect the card within next 20 days.

What the ECAS says? Is it worth it to cheq online?

For guys/gals who I are wondering, neither me nor any one else seems to have had any changes in ECAS during or after PR Card being mailed. Best way to check as I found is to call after the mentioned processing time on CIC website.

If you get an agent that says we cannot open file add X days to processing time, try to mention your reason e.g. you are travelling etc. If it doesnt work try calling in again after a bit and try if you get a different agent.

Offcourse be reasonable and don't over load CIC. No good will come out of intense calling, if two calls don't get you an answer might as well wait a week and try again, unless you have a really valid and urgent reason.

Note: Above is just my two cents of advice, please don't hold it against me

I did get ECAS updates about my PR card. I know it doesn't happen for everyone, so I guess I was just extra lucky.

Hmm maybe that is because you are a PNP applicant or not in the FSW category. Not really sure but thanks for sharing !

I just found that my PR Card was delivered on 27th August Thursday. Was dispatched on 24th August as per CIC. I landed on 25th May at Person International.

It was exactly as per the estimate I was given at one point by CIC. ;D ;D ;D. Good luck to you all. See you all after 4 years 8) 8)

Guys,

Just wanted to give you an update that me and my wife have received our PR cards on 27th of Aug. We landed on 01st May and our cards got delayed due to some issues with my Canadian address I gave them, they could not see my canadian address in their system, anyhow I called CIC on 8th Aug and confirmed my Canadian address again and then they straight away put that in production as the card has a production date of 11th August on it.

I landed on 18th May. Got my PR earlier this week. When I contacted CIC 2 weeks back, they said I can expect my card by 16th Sep. I am glad I got it earlier.. No more waiting..

Thanks for the update!

I remember you were told by CIC that there was an issue with your photo but you didn't have to send in a new photo?

My wife was told the same thing and CIC said that she would receive her card by September 30th.

So hopefully maybe she will receive her card sooner than CIC said she would.

I landed on 18th May. Got my PR earlier this week. When I contacted CIC 2 weeks back, they said I can expect my card by 16th Sep. I am glad I got it earlier.. No more waiting..

Just confirmed from CIC helpline regarding PR cards. Those were mailed on August 24. I landed on May 26.

I have asked my friend to check mailbox for cards. Hopefully will receive the confirmation of PR cards arrival soon

Just got the confirmation from my friend, PR cards received on August 28 for me n my wife. They were Mailed on August 24. Seems those were printed on August 22 as Card expiry will be on 22 Aug, 2020.

we landed on May 26.

Hope all of you might get your cards soon.
