Friends, I need to do PCC from USA. Please guide:

- PCC needs to be done for both the primary applicant and accompany spouse rite? So can we send 2 separate money orders ($18 each) to pay the fees to FBI or can send single money order($36) for both of us in the same package.
- How long will it take by VO(visa officer) to request for PCC once application reaches them! Since PCC from US will take 4-6 weeks, is it advisable to start the process now or wait until VO requests for it?

If anyone done PCC in US, then please shed some more light on it. Thanks!

- PCC is required if primary and accompanying spouse stayed in US. If only primary applicant stayed for more than 6 months and not others then not required.

- After receiving your AOR wait for 2 months or 3 your wish and then apply for USA PCC and it will be done in 4-6 weeks worst case and your pcc will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue and will suffice the timelines. I did the same

Hope this helps

Thanks alot caththisking. So while applying PCC from USA for me and my spouse, can I send single money order as fees ($36) in single package for both of us or do I need to have two separate money order (18$) for each of us?
Also, Do we need to get PCC from India as well?

yes you can send one single MO as fees no issues. Yes PCC from India also required and I suggest that to wait until CIC asks as it can be done in 10 days and we can always follow up if in india.

Thanks caththisking.
How about the PCC forms (application form & fingerprint card) for Spouse. FBI website just says "for Couple- application form needs to be signed by all members." So does that mean, I just need to fill application form and complete FD-258 fingerprint card for myself only. And my spouse just have to sign the application form? I am sorry I am confused here...how my spouse will reflect in the PCC then!!

Also, I am in currently in USA, what is the process for getting India PCC from USA. Can you please guide. Thanks much.

please visit passport seva kendra website and I am sure you will get further information about how to get it done there.

Friends, Can you please provide your inputs for obtaining India PCC from USA.
I have gathered following information, if applying in person at Indian Consulate.
1. Forms: (i). fill the Miscellaneous Application form and
(ii). fill the personal particulars performa (3 copies)
2. Supporting docs:
a) Original passport and photocpies of the first five pages and last two pages of the passport.
b) US Visa proof (eg: GC/EAD/Approval notice etc)
c) Current US residence proof (eg: drivers license)
3. Fees : 25 $ or 45$ ? (money order/cachiers check) in favour of 'Consular General of India'

Doubts:
- do we really need to give our original passports? If yes, will they return the passport at same time.
- how the India PCC looks like..will it be a letter or does any entry goes in our passport too ?
- how soon we can re-collect our passports- do we have to collect in person or will consulate mail them back?
Please let me know if you think anything else is required. Thanks!

Hi ,

My application to FBI reached on Sep 16th 2014. Can anyone please let me know how long will it take. The website is saying it will take 12 weeks. I am not sure how long will it take to come to India.

I would appreciate if anyone can provide any inputs regarding this.

I also applied from India only in April and I received in June took around 8 weeks (including shipping time to india)

Hi Guys,

I am waiting for the FBI PCC.

My application reached the FBI office on Sep 12 2014 and the card charged on Oct 7th 2014.

Could any one tell me when I would get my FBI PCC. Anyone got the PCC recently?

Thank you.

Hi,

I applied for PCC in August 18th and still waiting for it. I called and they said they launched a new system, and my application falls under the new system which currently takes 12 weeks to process.

Got my PER on Oct15.
My status is still 'In process' per the ECAS.

Sent FBI id request on Oct 18.
Should be delivered by Oct 22.

Now it's a waiting game (per the site it's 12 weeks). Not sure if they truly need 12 weeks?

Anyone got FBI PCC after Sept 7, 2014 with their new IT system.

This is going bad to worse
