Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Okay, I'm officially freaking out. Item was "Out for delivery" this morning and it is already 5.30pm and still no sight of it. I even had it delivered to my work address where I know someone (or me) will be able to receive it.

This isn't good... these delays are officially stressing me out.

HI Guys,

I have got my passport back with copr today.
My PP reached CPC Ottawa on Dec 1.

I noticed that last letter of "place of birth' in my copr is missing. its 13 character but only 12 character is printed except last one. Is it something we need to correct it / just because CIC prints only 12 character ? Please advise me. Thanks.

This is driving me crazy now, I dont know in which order they really do this step. Shouldn't it be First in first out based on the passport received date?

Since they mentioned like other than xpresspost if you send any other mailing envelopes they will send through regular mail, may be they sent yours on regular mail. (thats my assumption - may be im wrong). Jus pray tat your passport should reach you safe through regular mail if they sent so.

Also in mean while jus sent a mail to CIC asking about your status as marumugan has sent previously. you may have to wait for a week to get their response - but even by that time if you dint receive your passport you will at least know whats your current status.

No they don't!! Otherwise i wouldnt be waiting since nov 19 th.
Only God knows what they are doing... It is horrible
Btw i sent canada post same as the others... They wont answer emails too

Reading posts for long ... but posting here for first time ...

I renewed my passport and sent new passport for stamping on Nov 5th ... Delivered on Nov 6th... After that no reply :-\
Also my status changed from Decision made to In Process :'(
I emailed them few days ago but no reply ..
Anyone noticed status changed back to in process from Decision made? .. and how long it take for passport ?

Hello every one.

I am a Quebec applicant for PR.
I have a problem and I will appreciate to receive your guide, if having similar experience

I received my PPR earlier December and immediately after sent my PP (with a return pack and PPR letter) to CPC-Ottawa (PO box address) using xpresspost. Since almost 8 days ago, I received no update regarding delivery of my package, every time I check track history online. The track history shows "out for delivery" without further update.

Every time I call Canada post customer service, I receive inconclusive responses like "......Your pack has been, in fact, delivered we as of PO box, we cannot provide you further update" or "We can do nothing about your pack, someone from CPC should come and pick up your pack".

Does any body have a similar case? Is there a chance the CPC does not receive the packs sent to its PO Box address? How long should I expect to receive confirmation of delivery (if any shows up)? How can I make sure that CPC received my pack?

Hi Knnn, I just re-read the 'ready for visa email' and this is what they say - If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail.

So in my case i have attached a canada post envelope, so most likely cic would use that hopefully. my pp wil go to my lawyer's ofc in bc so it will take longer by regular mail.

Btw i emailed cic as well day before, no response yet. I hv to wait, no choice

Here is my situation - received reply from CIC on my passport n copr status.
I need some advice on my situation here.

I followed up with CIC with an email yesterday abt my return tracker (i sent a canpost overnight priority prepaid one instead of xpresspost) and asked if I need to send another envelope and status of my visa printing.

I got a reply today morning from CIC that says "Good day,Your passport and COPR were sent out yesterday by Canada express post, tracking # XXXXX".
The tracking num is same as the overnight priority envelope i got from canadapost.

Now I checked Canadapost tracking system and it says "Unfortunately, the number you entered is not in our tracking system."

The pp n copr will be sent to vancouver bc to my lawyer and now I dont know what to do, as canadapost has no info on the tracking.

Can anyone advice me what to do in this situation

Since yesterday morning 10:00am, tracker says "In transit" and under history it says "Item processed at local delivery facility" no updates after that.

Its already 3:30pm here and not sure if I will get it today or tommo or Monday..


@CanadaPost - Please dont play with my passport :'(

My Return tracker is activated today at 17:53 EST. Finally Hope it is delivered in Vancouver BC on Monday morning, since its overnight priority.
