Hi,
a would say the border landing is the fastest way. Landing in CIC office is taking longer (need to fix an appointment) but is convenient (no traveling) and also very good if some amendment is needed (it can be done immediately). Otherwise the amendment process takes more than 6 months.

I am going to Edmonton tomorrow so do you think i should phone CIC and ask if i can get an appointment there ? or should i wait for their call ? tnx again

You can try to call. Usually it takes long time till you get someone on the phone so be patient. You may be lucky and get the appointment as you need. Landing in the CIC office requires 2 photos while landing at the point of entry doesn't.

I got my passport back today after chasing canadapost & help from my local post office. I landed at Peace Arch Provincial park (BC) at 3 PM PST. All is well, it was a smooth process. The officer was nice and he gave me a canadian flag too

I have sent my passport for stamping to CPC ottawa Laurier avenue address instead of PO box address. Its my mistake. I got confused with the replies provided by canadian immegration ottawa over the email and actual instructions. Can anybody tell me what will happen to my passport will they redirect it to right address? I already e-mailed them stating my mistake but no reply yet.

Thanks Sure, I took my employer transfer letter (that has my new address in bc & i moved frm qc) and my bills.

The officer asked my address which i gave my new one and he wrote it down in COPR(his copy). He didn't ask any proof but I had the bills to be on safe side.

you might want to take ur provincial id or driver's license too, passport,copr n address proof. Carry some usd for I-94 (~10$) if u hv a b1/b2 visitor visa and i had around 100$ in my wallet which is usual, but I didnt have to pay anywhere.

Did u email CIC n ask? probably u can, they replied to my email after 3 days abt my copr.

It depends, they might reply in a day or 3 or sometimes they take longer. They are closed during christmas (25 & 26), nye(1st jan) and probably 2nd jan, not sure.

No one replied to my first post .. Thats fine ..
I understand my situation was weird and different .. But I see everyone helping each other here makes me happy ... :-* ;D 8)

This is like a great team work ...........

I emailed CIC asking whats going on with my PR and CORP...
They have my passport since Nov 6th. My status moved back to IN PROCESS from DECISION MADE.

They replied to me ........

Its in the queue for visa printing. Due to the unusually high number of printing requests being received by our printing officer in the last few weeks, we are currently experiencing abnormally long delays for applications finalization.

So be patience ... Merry Xmas and happy holidays ...
